Yeah man...the most important thing to do is get EXACTLY perpendicular with the rail. Trying to grind slightly crooked is very hard to stay on a rail for any period of time and it looks gay.

Straight flips in general are fairly easy. A front flip is more risky though because of the blind landing, but that can be avoided by poking your head out to one side and viewing your landings.
