does this gash need to be fixed???

Normal p tex probably won't stay in there very long because it won't bond well to the core material. the best thing to do would be to put something else in there first like the metal grip in this catalog or some of the epoxy techniches theres some different ideas here...

Dragon Slayers vs. 1080 Moguls vs. Scratch BC

I ski a lot of moguls and do the competition stuff too. I've been really impressed with the trouble makers in the bumps. I will be getting a mogul ski though because the skis really take a beating, especially on the tips and just to have a real mogul ski. A pure mogul ski will not work well...

    Pants..Check it

I love my rip curl pants, they are from the 01-02 core series and have some type of gelanots waterproofing. I can be out in the rain all day and be completely dry. They could be a little more wind resistant though. And they've held up good after a bit over a season of use.

i dare you to defend sarah burke

I don't care who has better segments or who wins more comps, both kristi and sarah are great skiers. I do think kristi has a cleaner, better looking style. Sarah seems more timid and kristi more aggressive.

    salomon or look/rossi bindings?

salomon is lighter than look/rossi. the salomons are very prone to slipping out of adjustment, I'd say look/rossi are more reliable.

    anybody have old columbia jackets?

    new skis / edges

there are skis with thicker edges like the pes and fujatives that will most likely hold up better. Id say the edges on the tm's are their weak point, but any edges will break if you really beat on em. As long as you're not catching edges on the end of the rail, doing big disasters or lots of...

    Holiday valley opening weekend

except for a few runs that are a bit ragged most everything with snowmaking (most of the hill) is open and not bad. the base is super solid underneath the couple inches of new snow so its a bit icy in spots. rails are good, the half pipe is a joke right now but there's a little hip somebody...

    Freeze - Freeskier

right now I'm getting freeze, freeskier, sbc skier and powder. I like em all, freeskier is probably my favorite. I've only read one issue of skier so far but it was really good, tons of content, took me a while to read whereas others I can go through pretty quick. I went to sms so thats how I...

    armada= elan

completely agree with mammothpunks in response to that one post about 'selling out', Its still gonna be the same ski. The owners don't have to be making skis by themselves in a garage to be 'rider owned' and oriented

    Look backwards when riding switch?

I think the easiest way to do it is to turn you shoulders and lean forward a bit instead of just turning your head. It's kinda weird to get used to but if you do it enough it'll get easier

    Bindings

you don't really need new bindings but it may be safer and wouldn't hurt to get them. As long as the din range is ok for you they will work. If yuo think you plan on upgrading later, just try to get em now sow you don't have to worry about redrilling. The most popular bindings are look pivot...

    shins hurt?

I had some problems with my shins last season. I think it originated from getting backseat skiing some powder in the trees, something I'm not used to. Then it kept recurring with pretty much any skiing and was pretty painful. It was more on the side of my legs than in front. I saw some...
