Bindings

I am currently lookin to get my first twin tips, to most of you this is probably a stupid question, but i was wondering if there is a certain type of binding i should get or if i can just use my shitty old bindings for now?

you don't really need new bindings but it may be safer and wouldn't hurt to get them. As long as the din range is ok for you they will work. If yuo think you plan on upgrading later, just try to get em now sow you don't have to worry about redrilling. The most popular bindings are look pivot, rossi axial and salomon s912, all without any kind of plate or lifter.

Sounds good, I'll just wait a few extra days and get after i get my skis and pick up some new bindings too.

How much does a good pair of bindings usually go for?

Coyote---if Looks are a little heavy, what do you reccomend?

i reccomend looks... they are awesome bindings, they're reliable, and they don't prerelease. i'm just saying that they aren't as light as the s912ti's, so if weight is a priority, it's something to think about. looks are sweet bindings, but to say they're light is misleading. it's not a big deal though, cause the weight is actually going around your foot, you won't notice it while skiing.

what do you think about the salomon s810 ti? A friend of mine wants to sell me a use pair for $75canadian....I thought that sounded like a deal

get looks, i have noticed with my salomons 912 ti's that if you do alot of switch landings the heel piece slides. they only have notches that hold them in place. on the looks there is like a bar you need to break to get it to slide. Basicaaly to sum it all up the salomons are constantly needing to be ajusted
