i'm curious as to Why he isn't involved anymore, is it that he doesn't want to partake in the films now-a-days, or that they don't want him to and use his voice recordings so they can effectively control and have what they want said lol ?? either way, i got that feeling a couple years ago, not sure if im glad or not that i was right.

"It stretches the boundaries of ski ability and is in a 100% prepared track, but the only opinion is in the air around it."

What the FUCK does that mean. I know his time is precious but he really didn't seem to give the effort or excitement I thought he would by getting to talk to a new generation of kids who really don't know his work well anymore. He seems unstoked on newschool. What we have now is so much more than just a new skiing style. Its the new movie, clothing and ski companies that have bred life into a sport that was really dieing. I remember the first 10 times I watched 13 my jaw was on the floor. We have done more progressive and revolutionary stuff in the last 10 years than skiing did for itself in the 30 years before that and I am really stoked to be part of it.

i think what he's saying with that is

park is all just bullshit premade stuff for you to do. it's not real skiing, the only thing that determines what's appealing about it is the air people get inside it. nobody gives a shit about the stuff leading to or from.

he makes lots of very honorable statements in there, my respect for him has grown a lot.

i mean, he bashed the guys making movies under his name for profit. in a way warren miller entertainement shouldn't be called that at all.

he's a very true man it seems.

warren miller has been an icon in my life for a very long time, ever since my dad first sat me down to watch one of his films when i was little. it's a shame he is no longer a part of the films his former company now releases.

I have MAD respect for Warren Miller. I used to go to his movies all the time when I was younger. Im just suprised at his, as one person up above put it, unenthused reaction to these questions and this part of the sport. Especially from a guy who seems to always be stoked.

'

WM: I have had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the film for the last four years. They use recorded sentences of my voice from earlier films in order to what I think is keeping the public fooled that I am still involved. I am not…and I am sad to see the films losing their character and the culture that was so much fun and made them such an annual event.'

That makes me so mad that he has no power in making the films any more. I thought it was because he was getting older, and didn't want to do it. But i hope that they will allow him back in to the film's I have gone to ever film premier in Akron Ohio for the past 5 years. One time I missed the OSU vs. Michigan for the film but it was worth it!

Not only did I used to, but I still to this day go downtown to the theatre to watch his newest releases. A couple of years ago I remember when I heard he was out of the films, and I was instantly able to tell that his voice was all recordings... it's really too bad!

Warren Miller is a grandfather to many, and an idol to the rest. I wish he'd be back in the films - they always had a good touch that he was able to add.

WM is the man. No questions asked.
