do you want to stay in one place for the whole stay? There's been some good suggestions, I would say St. Anton in the Arlberg region is one of the best places in Europe for freeriding. Lots of international crowd (specially aussis qiwis) you can hang out and ski with. If you want to do it cheap...

yeah I know what you're saying. this thread isn't about the best ski for whatever though, it's about the most popular ski of last season. and that's a different thing. you have to admit that some skis get lots of hype and others don't, right?

well no I read the threads on the surface skis and people are stoked about them. It's always the same people though, so not very representative. The fact remains that hardly anyone has skied them. Can't be the ski of the year then.

yeah I'm surprised that so many people mention surface too. don't know if its a good NS ski of the year though, not many people have skied them.

obviously everyone has thier own skiing style and preferences, but there are still certain ski models which get more attention. what about the fujatives, public enemies or ARV's? those skis seemed to be quite popular...

i'm a girl and ski atomic. you mentioned that you also want to ski "big mountain" i suggest you get the stomp: twin tip, a little wider and nice soft flex. if you're serious about big mountain skiing though you might consider the sugar daddy (i ski the 183s for the deep, 173s for steeper...

what you probably mean is that atomic doesn't have the same status as core brands like armada or line. it's because we're all so influenced by brands and what they stand for. if people judged atomic purely as a product, most people would agree that their skis rock. but skis aren't just...
