Xbox 360 and PS3 DEBATE

we need to have a NS debate on which system is better. Personally i think Xbox360 is whoopin the PS3's ass with the early release date and xbox live.
 
how can thier be a comparison when the ps3 doesnt come out for months? and when it does it will destroy the 360 wtih MGS4 and a next gen GTA
 
well when you look at the technical side of them, both of them are pretty much the same power and graphics wise. Gamewise xbox360 has its host of games like Halo3 the day PS3 comes out and PGR3 is amazing.
 
As far as graphic and power goes the PS3 is far more powerful than the xbox:

The ps3 uses new blu-ray disks that can hold 25 insread of 15 gigs.
 
what the fuck is the difference between halo and halo 2!!?!?!?!?!?!? the same difference between the old and new gta's GRAPHICS AND STORY.
 
ps3 has better graphics and thier is no better story in the history of video games then the metal gear series
 
the blue ray disks sound kinda sketchy though. and they havent ever been used. when some magazine did a comparison there was some talk about them not knowing if it iwll be a good thing because there is potential for disaster. ill try to get the article and be much more specific
 
Why do so many people like the 360 because of Live? The only thing that does is make it harder for game makers to custumise the online mode.
 
I also heard that sony is dropping the whole blue-ray thing. Apparently they would be losing a ton of money on it.
 
the ps3 when it comes out is gonnna be even more expensive then the xbox 360 and by that time the xbox will be half the price and have alot more games including possibly halo 3. also the new systems are too expensive for the adverage person to own both of so generally the people who bough tthe xbox 360 will stick with it.
 
halo 2 actually had a completely different engine, and i think it really sucked compared to the first one, but thats just me. gta3, vice city, and san andreas are the same game, with just different skins and maps, granted they are fun.
 
Also to determine this decision... sales rates become a factor...

Xbox - 13.7 million

Today PS2 is said to have over 90 million units sold (51 percent of the market) and Xbox just broke 20 million (34 percent of the market)...

Currently Xbox is declaring they wish to sell 3 million 360 units in 90 days... big fucking deal... ps2 did 500,000 immediatly after release... and rampaged the market since on average close to 20 million a year... meaning all you math wiz can determine 5 a quarter... and thats just normal sales... not post release...

If i paid 400 dollars to find my system crashing... hell would be released... though most systems do have slight recall problems within the first year of release

Sony is a little late on its release but i believe its cult following and superior power in the PS3 compared to 360 will make up all differences and the some...

It will be interesting to compare PS3 sales next year in comparison to its rivals... Yet whichever wins overall doesn't really matter because Im getting both for college next year... Maybe revolution if i fell like pissing cash...

PS... halo blows... and i have both of them... if only it had 1/100th the storyline of even a bad final fantasy game
 
wasn't the PS2 out a year or 2 before xbox and they were riding off the PS1 so they already had a fan base... you forgot to mention those two little facts

computer gaming is always going to be lightyears ahead of everything else. (and yes, i know that lightyears measure distance, not time)
 
san andreas is awesome, but it didn't change that much. i mean the graphics for instance are basically the same.

people who dont appreciate oblivion are absolutely nuts

oh and ps3 may be about to have better stats for once, but apparently its so hard to develop for that producers are getting out by the car load...

I'm pretty neutral though im just buying the system with free online play, and the best MMORPG. If world of warcraft was released on something I'd buy it straight away, and never leave my room again...

and whose the dumbass who posted the stats saying that ps has sold way more? yeah thats a fucking brilliant reason to buy it you stupid tool
 
my computer gives me anything i want. i have a tv tuner and watch cable tv on it, watch dvds, plays with amazing graphics and i use a joystick/headset for my aerial combat games, i got the internet, a sick soundsystem, can do any editing/video capture, can download pretty well any movies/shows i want to watch. what the hell more could i possibly need?
 
yeah, the box games are much easier to develop, and its the first advanced system and at least the specs of ps3 will be better, the software will probably be lacking unlike that of 360. and live gaming at least now on an xbox kicks the crap out of any game on ps2.
 
then you have no clue about graphics and power of each system. because PS3 will be able to drive DUAL MONITORS IN 1080P i dont see shitty xbox being able to handle more than 1 monitor.
