Kevin Rolland's run was great, but I feel like Simon deserved the silver to be honest. He was absolutely BOOSTING. Torin-Yater had a fine run don't get me wrong, and that final hit was damn smooth but I think he deserved bronze tonight.
 
i was rootin for torin the whole time

he had a dope run, maybe not up to par with dumonts though. the judges put his age before his score
 
Rolland deserved 1st, his last double was immaculate, but the entire competition was a huge step down from last, year, it would have been a lot more interesting if guys like Dorey and Wise could stick a run. And Dumont reacted exactly like anyone else here would. He was unquestionabley robbed of the silver by a run that simply wasn't as good. Of course Torin was stoked when Rolland won, he got fairly beaten, and he still gets a sliver medal at 15!
 
did no one see that simon did miss his grab on the double 12? watch the reaplay if its out!
 
Also I'd like to add just in case it was someone in this thread and not one of the other 15 for thinking Dumont is over-competitive. That's bologna because he had damn good reason to be mad for not placing where he should have in our sport's biggest venue. I've got a true competitive nature and I thank god for it, I'd rather be over-competitive than under-competitive.

So much hate on dumont, for no reason. He def deserved 2nd, if not 1st, if I got robbed that hard I'd be shitty mode as well.
 
he should have gotten first for sure. that was some weird judging this year. and people wonder why he's mad, shit like this seems to happen all the time to him.

I can MAYBE see how Kevin got first. Maybe. Though I think their runs were about equal, except Simon went ginormous, which in my mind gives him the win.

But seriously? A poopy grab alley oop double, and a straight up pencil 12 beats a super cleanly grabbed dub 12 and and a TAIL GRAB DUB RODEO?!?!?!? Absolutely not. That 12 Wallace did was hideous, no way around it.
 
I just watched it. Dumont should have gotten first. HE went a bit bigger than Rolland, and I think overall his run was better.

Would have been sick if Dumont landed that first run. Probably would have won with no questions asked.....Buuut maybe not since I have no idea how Torin's run beat him. Wait he's 15......so crazy dude, lets give him extra points. Judges should not give out high scores if a skier hucks a spin with no grab...even if it's only on 1 of their hits. Shits just gross.
 
Simon should have won with his two insane first and third trick. The amplitude of his tricks and quality of the grab should have made him gold.However, Kevin Rolland made lots of switch and a nice dub cork mute.
