Goepper actually slayed that run. If Henrik or Goepper land their best runs they can beat anyone in the field. If Henrik pulled out a butter triple intro his run he wud have gold locked down.
 
Russ' last double was incredible. I know they talked about him losing the grab, but the landing was textbook.
 
Anybody else think Goepper should have been docked a few points for no poles. I know he broke his wrist but that was like two months ago and he doesn't even have a cast anymore. I like Goepper but I am afraid he is becoming a little too much like Shaun White with those kinds of lame excuses.
 
Ya but what is the point of using poles in slopestyle anyway? Prob easier to hold grabs without em. I think it would be smart if everyone went no poles.
 
I normally enjoy watching competitions, even though the type of skiing isn't really my thing but damn, that was painful to watch. There were what 2-3 vaguely interesting/different things done in that whole hour and a half? Thank fuck for Henrik...

 
lol bro no poles is the 2013-14 norm what the fuck are you talking about... I actually see like half and half with poles/no poles at resorts normally

Not a huge fan of Woodsy but he got fucked by the judges. Grabs no one does in doubles and creativity. Using the whole course. Sure it isn't to technical but he still had that 450 transfer on the last rail.

I hope for the sake of free skiing that Håtveit wins the final. He definitely got the style, the tricks and potential to step up the game for finals and take the whole damn shit home to Norway.
 
In great fear of getting hate from every single Edollo-fan on NS, I think Henrik got scored too high. If you look on the first 5 features, (yes the first rail was cool, but the second and third, was more or less safing in), was it THAT much better than some of the lower scores? Yes, his two last hits are outstanding, but it is the complete run that got a 95.00, and he only did one right spin and played it kinda safe on the second and third rail. He was skiing for a spot in the finals without taking too many risks, imagine what could happen on Sunday!

I just think judging was really weird, and hopefully it will be better in the finals. Woodsy got screwed over, and i find it kind of suspicious how he got a 79.00 when 80.00 was needed to bounce Tom of the bubble.

glad to see hatviet still killing it too, not my favorite style but its always inspiring to see(relatively) older dudes killing it

i really dont understand how the commentary can be this bad though. you're spending millions on this huge televised event where at this point almost EVERYTHING is amazing.

the course is perfect, the cameras and replays are basically on par with the NFL, production is smooth and professional, the level of riding is the best there is...

and yet you have two announcers who can barely get 10 words out in a run, most of which are pointless babble or outright wrong. dudes are still trying to name the second rail trick when the rider is on the jumps half the time, it feels like a free ghetto english restream of a foreign event or something. the fact that everything else is so pro just makes the commentary stick out like a sore thumb

It's a 3 run final, so I believe there will be multiple triples. I mean, there's a lot of room from improving. Just hoping it doesn't turn into a huckfest.
 
Anyone who thinks dollo's run wasn't the best is retarded. Yea he kept it mellow on the last two rail features. We all know rails don't count as much as the jumps even if they claim it's equal. He busted out a new trick that nobody else has ever done. That's gonna get you some extra points especially at xgames. And if you think Andreas had the best run just realize he was biting the nose but dub that dollo invented and his best rail shit was biting cvans. Innovators win gold. Biters might make the podium if they're lucky
 
Well tyw just dropped out of pipe finals not sure why...Unfortunately not going to ski finals at @xgames tonight. Big ups to @mike_riddle for takin the spot for me :D good luck to all the boys!!
