X Games 2014

Woods' double wallride thing was cute, but it was easy as shit. Seriously, I could have done that, and I'm terrible. He needs to do more difficult tricks if he wants high scores.

On a side note, it's going to feel real weird rooting against Woods and Harlaut during the Olympics.

But if that one feature pushed his score down so much, how could Henrik, who did a sw 2 to front and a 270 disaster, still get the best score? Should he not be equally dragged down for not having the hardest possible railtricks?

He didn't do it on his second run. I thought he could easily get 4th place with that run. Imo judging was quite good but this was just a bad decision

Really glad to see Antti Ollila (Anti Ooohlalaa to yall americans) making it to finals. Dont see those right side kangaroos often in comps!

BTW, ABM is taking Bobby Brown's place in big air tomorrow night.

Too bad Torin's out tonight, but happy Riddle is in.

Head judge Mike Atkinson, more than a couple years ago.

The judges are fully competent, it's just a really tough job to do. I gave judging a shot on my own for the prelims and posted my results, you could probably pick mine apart like crazy.

Perhaps a judging scheme that judged runs all at the same time after they were all skied would be more just and get rid of some errors, but that would be quite anticlimactic.

He deserved more points. Wallride thing could have been better, but, still, he deserved more points, on that second run especially.

Lol don't you know Torin literally gives no fucks, why would he care enough to compete?

And if the real world is being married with a kid at 23 I'll stay under my rock thanks.

looks like the in runs shorter, the past 3 years everyone would shave the first 20-30 feet of drop in. now they go straight from the top and go just as big. jump isn't any bigger either

LIVE NOW:[/b] SNOWBOARD BIG AIR FINAL FOLLOWED BY MEN SKI SUPERPIPE FINAL

So I guess this means that we'll see all the snowboard runs and then all the pipe runs. Never fear, X-games won't let us miss a final

backside triple cork is the common one. asian kid is throwing backside triple 16, max threw a great triple 16 and a triple underflip 14

It's big air. Back when ski big air was about who can throw the best switch 1080 would have been an interesting time to be a judge

Good for Max.

That was kinda boring, last year had better tricks landed. Too bad Mark is a pussy, Seb sucks, and Torstein didn't quali

Snowboard Big Air definitely hit the plateau this year. Not as enjoyable to watch, especially now that hucking a ridiculous trick capable of scoring a 50 means very likely serious injury if a trick isn't right on the screws.
