basically its a full face helmet that has an LED display in the visor that tells you how fast you are going. Taking it to the next level could include an altimeter, downloadable maps of the mountain you are riding with a LED of your exact location, altitude, speed, where your friends are (via GPS navigation), built in music, Cell phone communication,out-side air temperature, location of ski-patrolers, Pop-Up weather conditions/forecasts/avalance advisories... all on a transparent LED screen in the corner of your goggles built into the helmet. The future is coming...
 
like 900$... I was wrong about the speed thing.. its just a speed visor. I was getting a little optimistic there... but the premise of it would be cool. And having that, and some paintball guns would be pretty epic.
 
from the title of your thread I thought it had an Avalung built into the helmet and a tranceiver in that little black box.....

Don't you realize that the reason Stormtroopers can't hit the broadside of a barn in Star Wars is because their helmet are blocking their vision and distracting them with too much information. This helmet would takes you right out of the experience of where you are and what you are doing. Might as well stay home and watch a ski video.
 
I would totally rock that! First off it's badass and secondly it's badass!

It looks like it has a ton of cool features for a heli trip or something but on a day to day basis I don't think it would be so great.
 
What would be really sick would be (hang with me) a machine that had skis ON it. The machine would power the skis and provide you with speed, tach information, fuel information and possibly time? You could even add a track that would enable the skis to be pushed with more traction than otherwise possible. Would you guys use that?
 
the only reason i'd rock something like that would be if it could let you breathe if you were buried in an avalanche, that's what I thought those tubes were before I read the description.

or for halloween
 
why dont they just put a gps in the thing. you could get everything where you are how high you are how fast youre going. thatd be pretty sick and you could record sweet bowls and shit and then youd be able to find it again. and be able to display that on the visor would be sick
 
how would you control what your looking at? b/c that is way to much info in a little corner of a visor?
 
I think everyone skiing in penguin suits is more likely to be the future of freeriding than that. penguin suits would be cool though.
 
Hell no! That thing would be like a huge ass weight on your head. I think the smart molecules in the hats are the future.
 
Ski patrol locater would be cool. We somehow need to attach a gps transponder to every ski patrol jacket, maybe have them sewn into jackets issued to patrollers. This needs to be implemented
 
noooo wayy, i feel kinda shitty even when i have my cell phone on me..... to have a helmet with all that shit just wouldent give good vibes to everything around you. i would wear it in school for sure tho.
 
I bet you wouldn't even have to look backwards when skiing switch, the camera on the back would give you a live feed of the shit that was going down behind you and would project it onto your Master Chief visor...
