To all those people claiming Utah is the best, what other pow experience do you guys have? Just saying it's hard to claim #1 if you've only skied pow at one spot.

Ive skied pow in idaho, washington, oregon, montana, wyoming, whistler, colorado and utah, i've never skied tahoe but the fact they refer to their powder as "cement" gives me a good enough clue. Utah and montana were the best, wyoming is in there too. Rocky mountains son.

Utah gets 7.83% water density snow from December through March. They also get almost 400 inches of snow during those 4 months, which doesn't include the other 200 inches they get from October-November and April-May. You cannot beat 7.83%!!!

Gotta love the Cascade Concrete. I yearn for those cold days where the snow just flies over my head. Whenever we get those days, I think about how nice it must be to consistantly have snow that dry.

well i'm from argentina. i've been skiing for 19 years so far, i skied almost every mountain here in the andes, on the argentinian side, then i skied for 3 season in europe in austria, switzerland and france (THE ALPS) and i worked a couple of seasons on the east coast (vt and NH) and finally last season i spend it in utah and let me tell you for the whooole pow skiing i had in my life, there is no comparison. utah has the best pow, europe the best mountains.

i was told Russia has the best powder because of the constant temperatures and the water droplet sizes its something to do with it never gets to a temp where it can thaw and its like skiing in a indoor place with air-conditioning but the powders so light its mad, then its japan i think again its something to do with the temperature and the type of snow you get ?

Keep your fingers crossed bro, it looks like its setting up like last year,which means LOTS of snow, but CB is pretty hit or miss. Lots of times we get missed when others get hit, but others we get pounded when no one else does.
