Windells 2010 who's going?

Windell's looks super fun but I'll save my $2k for something else and my parents won't pay for it.

i find it hard to justify 2,000 bucks on one week of skiing. I can get like 2 seasons out of that.

yes but camp is not the only place to ski. I would rather just ski the public park for way cheaper. you could probably stay the whole summer for much less than the cost of camp. (no offense all you campers)

not really a "best" depends on what your looking for your time frame who you would like to be coached by etc. snow is better earlier though.

we normally go on family vacations every summer. but my parents want to go to europe for their 25th aniversary... they decided windells is the place for me to be this summer.

SCORE!

why would you make this thread, summer 2009 JUST ended a couple weeks ago. and theres too many threads to count about info on windells

This would make a dope graduation present but that 2k can definitely go towards an epic trip somewhere else with buddays.

I have no urge to ski with 13-16 year olds that will shit on me (not to mention some are arrogant/spoiled, not all though) :) when i can be chilling in Cancun or anywhere with a beach.

hmm i sense sarcasm, so il bite.

I know im going to get hate for this but the idea of spending 2000$ of my money on skiing for a week with other kids doesn't really interest me at all. Maybe if i was younger a year or two, i would've liked to go. But im sure lots of kids and teens find camp super fun and go year after year which is sick.

On the other hand summer is really amazing, im already starting to miss it as much as I am fiending winter as I've been piled with juggling school work and my job everyday.

Bottom line for me:

Summer: beach, staying out late, parties parties parties, lots of good times with friends, I get to walk around at night in a tshirt and shorts. And not to mention all the ladies are wearing very little clothing.

Winter: Skiing, snow. Enough said

they're both awesome and ive had some of the best times of my life in those seasons but I like to keep them apart.

Oh and seriously:

Would you rather be be at a cottage(or beach) with your friends, soaking in the sun, swimming, maybe a little drinking here and there, and having super good times with your closest friends? Or go to camp and ski with pros and kids, learn a trick or two and knowing i spend 2gs. I'd take the first one.

My mentality: If I'm spending $2,000 on a week of skiing, it had better be an epic trip to Japan or Chile or somewhere along those lines. $2,000 just seems like so much money to waste on glacier skiing. I'd rather spend that money at Portillo, ski powder and get an amazing cultural experience at the same time.

i want to go to windells and if i can come up with 1k my parents will pay the other half, otherwise i'm going to mhssc

Agreed and I would much rather spend that $2k on a ski trip somewhere in the Winter. There's kids in the East who have never skied powder and they are blowing their money on Windell's instead of going somewhere during the Winter with powder, or at least a dope park. Kids on here confuse me. If I had to go skiing in the Summer, it would be in South America, lots of snow, powder and cool weather.

Clearly, Windells does cost mad money but according to anyone who has ever been there it is such a great experience. You learn so much and go back home doing tricks you'd never thought you'd pull off.

See you in 2010.

My uncle lives in Portland, Oregon and we don't see him often so my mom is thinking about visiting him next summer and she said that if we go its 90% chance ill be at Windells! So stoked!
