We are making snow right now & it is beautiful. We anticipate opening on Wed. with 1 - 2 runs. Please check back to make sure.

Hope to continue adding runs the rest of the week.

Are you guys going to have a couple small rails out or anything? That big fat one is always a good time, haha.

I plan on putting out 5-6 different rails. It all depends on the conditions. Wed afternoon we should have some stuff out. I will post an update on Tues evening. Hell yeah!!!!!!

Used to, I can only give it credit but it's the reason I ski now. I really didnt like it though so I quit. The reason I asked is because I know there's always a thanksgiving camp and was curious if there would be enough snow for that.

theres one on the website

here ill post it:

We will be opening tomorrow am at 10:00. We are making snow like mad! We have enough to open today, but opted to continue to make all day today! We anticipate having 4 - 8 runs by the weekend.

I will be up on Thurs to check out the conditions and set some rails. We might get the chance to put up some small hits but nothing big because we blow snow every night and groom every morning. We hope to have the main park up and running by Thanksgiving. Cold!!!!

THANKSGIVING? does that include a pretty big jump or no? cuz i will probably be spending my early season at wild this year

6 Runs open at noon today. Everyone keeps coming in telling us that it is mid-winter conditions.

First, no hugs!!! Everyone knows that the weather will decide on if we can put out a big kicker, but so far so good. This weekend should be killer. Anyone at the rail jam down at the U??

I'll be up there tomorrow checking out the snow situation I'm gonna try and push for the main park to get rolling hopefully have a jump pushed up sometime this weekend.

I will be up on Sat evening. Word on the street is that maintenance will be setting some rails on Fri afternoon. I hope to do some design and setting Sat evening so that the park is killer by Sun. I will update more on Sat morning from Wild.

Peace

Let us know if you get some rails or jumps up tonight. My brother wants to hit afton but I'dreally like to go to wild if you've got some stuff up. Let us know! This snow rocks!

any updates for today? i am either going to hyland or wild and if there is a decent jump at wild thats where its at

ya wilds park crew deffinetly blows MAJOR cock. They were like "hey, you gona take your shitoff and help!" when they were trying to flip the rainbow box over, which they had broken draging it up the hill. Basicly never going to wild again, they park crew only makes stuff possible on snowboards, like ride on rails with no jumps up to them.

its the beginning of the season, just wait till they get the actual park up and running and you'll see a major difference. and just cause its ride on doesnt mean its impossible, its perfectly possible and fine.

The bunny hill is still rockin' a few rails and we should set in the main park Fri Dec 2nd. We wanted to start out right and blow a ton of snow in the main park and have the rest of the area near 100%. We plan on setting 5-6 rails and a medium booter (15-20ft). We should be done around 5-6pm so the weekend should be killer.

He who laughs last is the real winner!!

BULLSHIT. hardest working maintenance my ass. Wild park crew is a bunch of faggot snowboarders with HUGE rods stuck up their asses.

How come last weekend it was about 10 snowboard fuckers only grooming shit for themselves and making other kids (paying customers) fix the shit when they mess it up "stop trying your fucking 270 on, you're wrecking the lip". Yeah, fuck you that's your fucking job. I won't be at wild after have a nice long talk with Matt at afton. Afton has a TON of really nice new shit. 5 parks, countless rails and boxes, I caught a glimpse of about a 25-30' rainbow box in the shop. As of wednesday he still had 2000 lbs of steel cut and ready to be welded up. I'd say Afton's got ya beat this year.

It didn't help that the "guy in charge" at wild was a dick to my bro, his friend and I. "Get you're shit off and come help us"...sure, what do you pay per hour?

I wasn't implying that you were. But yes, I will ski at Afton. Rail jam on the 10th for anyone interested. Rainbow rail and box, c rail and box, tons of flats, flat downs, down flat, handrail, butter boxes, you name it.

your talking about wild's park right. the park crew sut up two rails (which took about 1 hour each to set up) they are ONLY ride on, i seriously wish i had taken a picture, EASILY the most horrible set up ive ever seen. I honestly dont see why people still go to wild, they are sooooo bad at setting shit up. Last year, they probably groomed their jumps once of twice the entire season. They have bad fake snow, they just dont have anything worth while.

any more info on the rail jam? cost, prizes, etc. i want to go but i ownt be there at 11 i dont think. i am still going to go though

Huh, taking everything down everynight, blowing snow, taking until 1pm to set again, closing the park to "reset" at 3pm, nothings changed by 4pm. Broken record is right.

And no, the stuff at Afton has NOT all been ride on. It's set so that if you're bad and NEED to ride on, you can slide over the lip and still make it, but the lip is at least 2' from the element. On sunday, afton had 3 boxes, 2 flat rails, 1 hand rail, 25' (something like that) mailbox rail, rainbow rail and c-rail. What did wild have? a box and a rail, set at like, 2:00?

That's what bothers me most about wild, resetting every morning takes like, 3 hours. So, if you get there early to beat the crowd, you end fucking around for 3 hours (or more) until shit gets done. That's the problem inherent in having one main park run.

What I would suggest, to keep everyone happy, is just publicly (i say this cause I don't wnana show up and have nothing without notice) close the park for say, a wednesday. Bow snow all night, day, night, over 40 hours. There. You've got plenty of snow to play around with for a while instead of shifting things around DAILY. Hell, I'll come out and help if that's what it takes.

Thats what were planning on doing, i think, might be wrong, but full park or at least most of it should be going up tomrrow (thurs) and done on fri, for good, so no more daily resetting, well see how it goes

haha, those kids you hate are friends of mine, i totally respect you hating them, they usually try to publically piss off as many people as possible every chance they get. but ya, wild vs. afton, i think it'll just be a rollercoaster race.
