Why would you not wear a helmet?

not gonna lie, shot without helmet looks better but i also think it's stupid to don't wear a helmet.
 
you feel free-er when you ski without a helmet. less restrictions almost. that being said, i have decided to wear a helmet when skiing urban and BC this year, its not worth it to ski dangerous shit without one imo
 
I dont get it either, when I see someone not wearing one I automatically think they're less intelligent/lower class for some reason

That said I don't wear a helmet, I guess its cause I skateboard and it feels natural.
 
I only wear one if I don't feel entirely comfortable with what I'm doing, or if a comp requires it.

So most of the time I'm not.

Everyone knows drinking/smoking is bad but people still do it anyways.

I only feel comfortable with a helmet on, others feel the opposite way.

i havent bought new skis in 3 years, or new outerwear,or boots, haha. i cant even afford a real pass this year so i wont be skiing. but i do have a helmet, for those who are so concerned about my well-being.
 
nah honestly helmets are a waste their just a distraction and don't help that much I mean your landing on snow...
 
Its more confortable without, i really enjoy shreding in a sun glasses and either no hat or a headband when its hot as fuck outside. But, if i still wanna keep skiing park im going to keep wearing my helmet but when i film and shit, i never wear a helmet.
 
Why don't you wear a helmet when driving your car? I don't get it. Traumatic brain injuries are a serious risk associated with car crashes.. and car crashes are the leading cause of teen death for U.S. teens.
 
why dont you drive your car with a 5 point racing harness, helmet, and roll cage?

I would laugh my ass off at someone who yaps about wearing a helmet on the hill and then doesn't wear a seatbelt all the time. :P
 
Yeah, definitely personal preference. I like to do both. I mainly wear a helmet, but when it's a warmer day and the sun is shining, you have to let the hair flow.

that being said, I've worn a helmet ever since I smashed my head into a tree going switch without one.
 
i don't wear one sometimes because my old one doesn't fit anymore, i don't want to wear my dad's, a new one is expensive, toques are comfier, and the safety ratings that snow helmets are tested at won't protect me if i bash my head anyways. those are my main reasons.

but seriously guys its for ur own fucking safety...when i see a guy in the park or a pro skier not wearing a helmet i automaticly think what a fucking dum ass!
 
right now skiing early season, i'm not wearing a helmet, fuck that i'm crusing rail laps and hitting a pretty small jump, i ski way better when i'm not wearing a helmet because it makes me feel flashy and makes me look like i'm in control. Honestly unless i'm charging really hard or skiing glades, i don't feel like i need one. Why would i want to wear a stuffy turtle shell over my luscious locks. #comeatmebro
 
I really just think that it is personal preference. Sometimes it just feels nice to wear a beanie on a full on powder day, snowing like hell outside. But idk thats just my thought
 
living in the east where the snow is usually the consistency of a brick wall is a pretty good reason for me to wear one. also, one time a friend of mine saw a kid try a backflip off a jump and land on his head a start to twitch and foam in the mouth then die...
