It's been turned into a white vs. black issue, but it could just as easily be a male vs. female issue, a young vs. old issue, a big person vs. small person issue, or a wealthy vs. poor issue. I don't know the data for sure, but I'd be willing to bet a lot that there are many more men than women sentenced to jail in the country, many more young people than old people, and more big people than small people. All of these are bigotry in a way, and it's impossible to know which of these played a role in Brown being shot, and which didn't. Again, not saying race wasn't a factor, but I don't think it was the only factor the way many people make it out to be.

Oh I agree completely. All im saying is if you are a cop in a city where the majority of people are black, and majority of arrested and altercations are with black people, the officer may have had a different response if he was another race. But agreeing with you, I think all those factors definitely come in to play.

K-rob, I don't know where you are getting this info, but it is false. Are you referring to Dorian Johnson, who was with Brown when Wilson confronted them and then ran off? If he was dead, why are they trying to bring him up on perjury charges for lying under oath? He was interviewed by MSNBC 2 days ago. He claimed that Brown held up his hands and said "don't shoot, I don't have a gun". This has been disproved by other eyewitness testimony and forensic evidence.

I am still not convinced that Missouri is a hot bed for the KKK. We have a black President, and a black Attorney General. Do you honestly believe they don't have the power and/or desire to go after the KKK.

If Eric Holder could authorize a SWAT style raid on the Gibson Guitar company because the owner donates to Republicans, way worse would happen to any organization which was affiliated with the KKK. He would probably Napalm their asses. Seriously, we live in a time right now where you can't say you disagree with social programs without being accused of being racist.

Deandre Joshua, whom the media has spun as a drug dealer despite the fact that he had a real job, was found shot dead and burned inside his car on Thursday. also the ONLY witness that agreed with Darren's story was the ONLY witness mentioned in Mccullochs excuse. we don't even know what the other witnesses had to say, all we know is that the key witness changed his story at least twice, that his first telling of the story wasnt recorded, and that he wasn't cross-examined (none of which would happen in a real court).

people get charged with manslaughter when they accidentally kill someone in a car accident.

as for the KKK, whether or not Wilson is actually affiliated with them is in question. to me, i could care less what kind of racist group he chooses to belong to. he's a racist whether or not he's in the KKK or a neo-nazi or whatever. what bugs me is the fact that the KKK still exist, that they supported Wilson, and that they probably contributed to this half a million dollars he got for shooting Brown. Neo-nazism is outlawed in Germany but not even Obama will make the KKK illegal? then again, america did only just allow women aboard submarines.

This is something that few people on this thread understand. Police brutality is way to fucking common. I don't know why but for some reason having a badge and a gun makes them feel like they can hurt people because they don't listen them. Our own government is killing us one by one and the fucking joke of a Supreme Court is backing up the police with bullshit saying that they aren't violating our rights as citizens of the United states. I am fucking tired of police thinking that they're entitled to do whatever the fuck thy want to do to someone because they're "suspicious". To many innocent lives have been taken because of this fucking bullshit. Police are starting to take it further than the racist shit, they're starting to label people as suspicious based on the fucking clothes they wear. Fuck I can't go out in a baggy sweatshirt where I live without police looking at me funny. Ima end this by saying RIP to Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin, and to all the innocent live taken by police and God bless their families.
 
i mean, The National Bar Association is calling for the Department of Justice to pursue federal charges against Wilson, and they've said there's no way the Grand Jury could've reached their conclusion if they'd actually considered the evidence before them, but i guess the National Bar Association probably knows less than Newschoolers does about the law, what with skiers being such gangsters and having run-ins with the cops all the time.

Nah man. The National Bar Association is essentially a political organization. It's pretty different in the States versus here - if a legal association here comes out on something it's because they're attempting to avoid politicization of the law. In the USA, it's usually because they're attempting to do the opposite. I wouldn't put much appeal to authority stock in what that organization is calling for, they have an agenda just like everyone else speaking out about this.

It's obviously a pretty complex issue, and it's being treated as - no pun intended - black and white instead of shades of gray. Just like everything that makes national headlines. No wonder people get jaded and apathetic.

Couldn't agree more, why is it that no major news outlets have picked up on the Serbian man who was beat to death by four black teens with hammers in Ferguson, while yelling "Kill whitey". It was on video too... The news is all BS now though, it's all for ratings. Unless the news can spin it as controversial or racist it's not getting heard.

I fucking hate the CCW community. It seems like 90% of you assholes WANT someone to punch you so you can shoot them , or WANT someone to break into your house, just so you can say 'oh I feared for my life officer... I just started conceal carrying and I would NEVER pull out my gun and shoot unless I was 110% sure it's me or him. I'm not going to be a little pussy and shoot someone if they punch me (elbarto). I'll be a fucking man about it and fight back with fists. Only if they have a knife or a gun AKA ARMED do I pull out my weapon. And even then I would only discharge it if they kept coming after multiple warnings.

Your problem is again you are cherry-picking facts. You are not presenting the whole story, hell, you aren't even linking us to these so-called facts. Your facts have also been discredited by numerous people in the news and on NS who provide the links making you look like an idiot.

As I stated above, if you want to look like you have a concrete argument, use all the facts, link us to them, and then perhaps you will get a positive reaction. Until then, wallow in your self pity because no one takes you seriously.

try not to focus so much on the guy talking over the video but on the video itself. it can be difficult, and may require jedi-like concentraton but if you succeed you will see moving images of a bunch of guys kitted out heavier than a commando lighting a fire in a car in the parking lot of a store which was burnt to the ground the next day.

There's no fire in that video... just a cop moving the flashlight from one hand to the other from what I can see. The reflections of the other flashlights off the windows gave the appearance of a flash, doesn't look like a fire at all

Plus all the windows were up on the car so there's no way he was lighting a fire inside of it lol

Well the guy talking over the video is the one making all the claims... Without it it is just a video of cops in SWAT attire looking into a car with flashlights.

The guy says there is a fire, but when the cops walk away, how come there are no shadows, no flickering of light off their gear, etc?

Besides, his analysis lost any credibility with those other videos anyway.

i'm honestly just high as fuck. read my previous post, i honestly couldn't care what was lit on fire or by whom anymore, that's like 2 days ago. if you guys want links to things they're in my sig, i post lots of police brutality on my tumblr (even against white people so you can feel represented too). i post other cool things and things that aren't cool if you don't think they are but i guarantee you can scroll for a few minutes and learn at least one thing about something. i promise my blog won't shoot you in the face or neck, however i cannot promise that you won't get personally offended by it, for whatever reason your brain comes up with.
