I think there should be more education on concussions in sports in general. People need to realize how serious a concussion injury can be, and how to treat one. Concussions are very interesting because they affect everyone differently, and are sustained differently. A person could take a 70g impact to the head and not sustain a concussion, but on a different hit experience 10gs and sustain a concussion, while other times it takes many lesser force impact hits, and other times one big blow. What is most important is if you feel at all that you have a concussion, or are experiencing any symptoms of a concussion, that you stop skiing for the day and let it heal, which usually a week or two. If you experience a second concussion whilst recovering from one, no matter now severe it is, could end your whole ski career.
