Why do people like Tim Tebow?

Credit should be spread throughout the team yes, however 50+ yard field goals aren't exactly chip shots so I wouldn't consider missing them to be luck. The fact is that Tebow is 5-1 under the same defense and team Kyle Orton played under minus Knowshon Moreno. Tebow is making the read option look work in the NFL and I love seeing a new style of offense work. The reason the Defense is playing so lights out right now is that Tebow unites the team and the rest of the team knows he is going to give 100% on every play. Whether or not they respect Tebow for his faith and who he is, they can respect that he is going to leave nothing left on the field. And don't hate Tebow for the press and media coverage that is given to him, that is out of his control. I feel this is the reason so many people hate Tebow for no reason.
 
i will admit i really dont respect his whole "thanks god for helping me win!!" thing, but i dont give a fuck cuz they're winning.

honestly the defense played pretty soft today, a lot more pressure was put on the offense than usual.. besides the 2 picks of course
 
I don't get how people can hate him. He was very successful in college. He graduated from Florida and won 2 BCS championships and a Heisman. Some were concerned the fact that he was drafted 1st round despite his inaccurate passing game but compared to when he was college he looks like he worked hard on his "baseball release" throwing form.

He's somewhat of a tool but he doesn't get fucked up everyday and start trouble like lot of NFL athletes (VInce Young). He doesn't make promises but he looks like he does his best. He is a complete different image of a professional athlete. For Christs sake he has biblical reference written on his

Kid waited a year and didn't complain a bit. He was well composed in interviews and though he didn't say he supported Kyle Orton but didn't make any bad remarks. People had doubts about him going in this season, but look at him. He practically saved Denver's season. (and don't give me that fucking bullshit "he's not the entire team" ). Sure he's not the most accurate passer but he wins. He has two completions but rushes for 100+ yds. Give the kid a break. He deserves what he has now.
 
cam newton will be fine. he needs a team and a little time to mature. if he steers clear of the interceptions, he'll be a boss in the NFL for a long time (or until he gets flattened by a linebacker)
 
Riding the pine in Oakland. And whoever mentioned Cam Newton, he's actually a good quarterback. On track for passing for over 4,000 yards, set the QB rushing record with 4 games still to play, and on pace for something like 35 total touchdowns. Give the kid some weapons and I don't even want to imagine what he would be capable of.
 
Biggest shocker of the year, in a good way. Turns out Cam Newton is the real deal, give him some ammo and he'll be bringing down the army in no time. I'm amazed with what he's done so far.
 
i think he will repeat what vince young did, carreer wise.

Hope not, i would love to see him another great young player, but im still far from convinced.
 
i don't understand why people follow sports so intently. football is fun to play, but theres about 345456 things i'd rather do than watch a football game
 
you were never very good, and consequrntly cant appreciate how freakishly athletic the athletes at that level are. thats why i watch it...well it also gives me an excuse to spend an entire weekend drinking aggressivly...every weekend from late august through late january.

also, it gets peoples competetive juices flowing.

Winter has always been a time of sitting inside with friends and fam, getting drunk, and trying to keep warm. why would you want to ruin such a great, traditional, social activity?

 
He played really well last game, if he can throw like that consistently and put in more like 20-25 passes a game then I'd be much more excited about him sticking around. That was the good shit we Tebow doubters have been waiting for.
 
I'm hoping he does better than vince young, but nobody really knows. I'd love to see him perform well, just gotta wait and see if he can put up the same stats next season. I just wish I'd drafted him in fantasy haha, he's been killin it this year! In my league, a team with Tom Brady has been sitting Brady all year because Newton's been performing so well, pretty crazy.
