Why do people dislike jonny mosely?

i hear people people make fun of him but i think he is the best skiier. he was one handedly responsble for freeride skiing. i was just wondering why he gets so much disrespect? The dinner roll is the illest.
 
yeah, yeah, in actuality, nobody really hates Jonny Mosley. everybody knows that he started the freestyle skiing movement. But people just like to poke fun at him because he started doing commercials and endorsing non-ski companies. and he ALWAYS referred to cork 7s as dinner rolls for a few years.
 
he sucks dick! hes a faggot. I asked him for his skis at the san francisco icer air comp and he fucken kept ignoring me. he didn't even want to sign my fucken shirt.
 
yeah, because asking for somebodies skiis is a perfectly logical thing to do. if somebody came up to me and said hey can i have your skiis i would ignore them too.
 
He has sold out over the years, but I can't say I wouldn't do the same in his position(minus the MTV thing, I despise MTV). I think the main reason why people hate him is because you can't see his ass hanging out of his XXXXL pants when he skis, and he has no "steeze." Geez. And yes, I just rhymed.
 
he is kinda cool when you are talking to him one on one but i fuckin hate him when a camera is anywhere around. and he kinda sucks at skiing now. i had to teach him to grind better

funny how at the Nagano Olympics, Julien Regnier did the same trick (3 mute grab), and only got 11th i think, while jonny got the medal and fame for the same trick.
 
I agree how he started the freestyle thing, but saying hes the best skier isn't true. Compared to most pros today he sucks bawls.

and i don't hate Johnny Mosely, I hate ignorant fucks who think he is the progression of newschool skiing, then skiing gets a bad image.

then again, if it had a more popular image, skiing would become popular like MTV or skateboarding, then it wouldn't be as core, so I guess I like how Johnny is kind of our "decoy".
 
^ok first off Johnny didn't start the freestyle thing.... jf cusson, julien reigner, were doing 360 iron crosses, and mutes like 2 years before him, When they did them though the judges called the 360 a break in fourm. Then all the canadian air force dudes went out and started to poach and go into parks, dropping cliffs/pillows, and thats like part of where freestyle skiing started. Then there were the other dudes, plake...and ehhh can't think of the other names, that did their thing. But yeah Mosley was the first to get reconized for doing the 360 mute, which made him huge, but he's way played out.
 
he was in no way the best skiier when mad trix came out. Everyone on that game was better than him in reality. He has no style. He sold out pretty much and he even admits he isn't that good.

In an interview in an old ass freeskiier he says "I'm washed up I can't ski"(or somthing very similar then interviewer says, "well maybee acro will make a comeback and you can be on top again" then the interview was done. I laughed so hard when I read that. That was also right at the pinnical of gorrila steeze and when he got asked if he was gonna work on it he didn't even know what it was. Like I was some 12 year old kid or somthing and I knew more about skiing than him. He just is one of those people you love to hate

the best skier? by what standards?! people hate him because he's a gigantic tool and hasn't done anything good for skiing since that 3 mute in the olympics. Somehow he ended up with a pro model ski and a video game....none of which should've happened
 
I think almost all pro skiers would agree to be on mtv after they see the contract and salary... we're talking a ton of money.
 
yah thats what I meant. Like he made more people get into freestyle by being recognized for his shitty skiing abilities.
 
alot more to skiing than gorilla steeze...i doubt you knew more about skiing at 12 than him.he had his fame. im not defending him, but he has a gold medal, none of us do.i can only start to imagine how much tail he gets just for being jonny moseley. yeah he's not "core", but i'll take pussy and a gold medal over being considered "core" by a bunch of teenage newschoolers anyday.

Johnny Mosely is a hero to our sport, he created the three mute! Hell he even has his own game for PS2, Johnny Mosely's MAD TRIX, look it up it's a ballin game, I actually went to the states to get a copy. I don't see any other Professional skiers with their own video game (though mind you Tanner is featured in mad trix)
 
I dont really get why everybody hates him either. 

Haha it was pretty funny when he ate it at icer but whatever he wasnt the only one. I went and got his autograph later and for the very brief time i spoke with him he seemed totally cool. He even wrote "get some" on my poster.

I agree with whoever made the XXXXXL comment. So true.
 
i have often wondered this myself. i remember first getting interested in freestyle skiing when i saw him win the gold medal in japan with his helicopter iron cross. it was so sick when i was in 3rd grade.
