Well 3 years ago I wanted to race. Then I found out that it cost 2,000 dollars, said fuck that, and I bought some twin tips. Never looked back. Racing is for tools. Sorry but its true. Racing doesn't take near as much talent. My buddy races, and he is pretty good (places well, goes to state, etc...) and I could beat him any day on a nastar course or whatnot. Plus, racing relies too much on equipment. You don't need edges to rock the park, but in racing if you have the wrong wax youre fucked. I mean, come on thats gay. So ya, my racer buddy also wusses out on anything in the park. And bumps. And cliffs. And anything. See, all racers do is ski their faggy little flat runs, so they never get good at anything else, they just fine tune their runs. I haven't seen one racer yet who can tear up Mary Jane (albeit does suck a little this year compared to last year) and throw anything more than a pencilled 360. Of course, park skiers can suck too, cuz a lot of them just ski the park, dress all gangsta, and act like all that shit, yet they suck other places. However, overall, park skiers are cooler. Yet, I think the coolest dudes are backcountry guys, cuz they are all nice, don't talk shit, and they can ski anything.
