Alright this guy is a piece of shit scum bag and this is rediculous.

Too many innocent people are getting ripped off of their hard earned

money go to waste, because this piece of shit won't earn honest money

like we do. I need to know whose been screwed by him and need to know

the situation in detail.

If we have enough victims than I'll take it up w/ the authorities and if not

I'll still take what I have and get in touch with all he's sponsors and let

them know of his bullshit. If those don't work, I'll find some way to put this

If you are pissed off about money, you shouldn't be in the ski industry. Anthony works hard and no one respects that. But that sums this site up anyways. Mind your own business, and especially business that you truly have NO IDEA about.
 
Actually, no, he doesn't work hard. He's a lazy fuck who screws other people over like it's his job. EVERY time he's offered prizes in conjunction with his movies, nobody has ever received them. He just keeps them for himself. And he's been screwing people over since he made his first attempt at being in the industry. He actually charged people to come and audition to be in his first shitty movie.

Maybe you're defending him because you're both amateur filmmakers, but everyone I know who's ever met him hates him with a passion. He's getting sued, and I hope it fucks him over hard.

or how about the time he put the Siver logo on the box for one of his movies even though they didn't really sponsor it, and he changed the logo. I won't name names but straight from the source everyone at Siver was very pissed.
 
well....i paid his paypal 250 bones for some ar5s like a month and a half ago....and no skis yet....and i cant reach him till the 10th or so cuz hes on a trip....

if someone offerd me money to edit a movie and he didn't pay me i would be pissed. thats complete bullshit for him to give someone their word and not do what he said
 
I won a some shit from the travelogue prizes. Like 6 months after i asked him again and he said hed send some goggles in a day or two.

it wasnt his word...they had a contract that had been written up with lawyers. Anthony had made up the fact that there were pre-orders of 3,000 copies already from burton to use as a promotional film for the anon ski department. The contract outlined 2$ of every copy sold going to the guy who edited it. The guy signed under the assumption that he would get at least 6 grand (makes sense since anthony included the bullshit number of 3 thousand pre-order) of course nobody bought the movie and anthony chose to not pay the kid anything. When confronted about it he tells people that he payed him 1100$ and that the kid was simply not satisfied, but in reality he never gave him shit and deserves to get fucked for it.

i purchased goggles off of him in last march. Though very convincing on the phone and in emails, i have yet to recieve the goggles, after numerous reminders and concerns voiced out.
 
sorry i didn't know the whole situation, or how much money was involved. Six grand is a hell of alot of money in this industry, and only some of the big companies talk in those numbers.. But the reason i got out of the business was because ski movies, or this industry won't pay my mortgage. Even if i were to be a top top level producer for MSP, TGR, etc... Not a chance in hell.
 
Then maybe you shouldn't buy a house that is beyond your means. And in all fairness, you were never really considered in the industry. Go to SIA, and 9 out of 10 companies won't know who Two Plank Productions is.

I'm impressed that at 22 you own a home. thats an accomplishment. with that said how much could your mortgage be? All of the big producers own their own homes. (the msp and pbp joints are pretty nice) even Berman has a nice place in Denver...there is money in this industry but you have to kill for it.

I hope you're right. Anthony asked me to be his "lead cinemaphotographer" or some shit like 4 years ago. I was 17 at the time so I still don't know why I turned down his great offer but I'm soooo glad I did. it would have been a hall pass to shattered dreams.

his e-mails and conversations are convincing. In all seriousness he's a talented con artist...wait he already does! My advice to Bacon is to put his word skills to use ripping off corporations and rich people, because seriously dude ripping off a bunch of skiers is fucking low bro.
 
i am pretty sure no one should be sticking up for anon.ymous, becuase he is a lost cause. my goodfriend, whom i lived with for a few months bought a jacket off him for 250 and anon.ymous said he would throw in some anon goggles. jacket came late and its the wrong size, goggles are a no show. my friend contacts anon.ymous and he says that the jacket is a defect and just has the wrong tag stitched to it and it is actually the right size. well if thats true, thats just gay cuase the jacket is a defect and shouldnt be sold as in brand new condition. he still hasnt sent the goggles, which is i guess fine legally cause he didnt actually sell the goggles but he did give my friend his word. basically from what i have seen this guy is a grade a douchebag, not to be dealt with, i hope he gets bent over in court and fucked real hard

a) Emperorryder was sold a pair of JP vs. Juliens. Unfortunately, in shipping, aparently one ski was banged up upon arrival. They had been ridden about 6 days. The damage in the picture send to me was like the tip had been "sanded" off...or dragged till it wore, on the tip. I advise everyone who buys anything that insurance is available to purchase through UPS. Im not a store, and I dont have a BACKSTOCK of skis to replace with, if something goes wrong. I advised him that insurance to cover the 550 USD the skis were worth new, would be about 10 bucks. So now he doesnt want the insurance, I ship the skis, and they get damaged in transit. THATS WHY I OFFER INSURANCE. So that if something goes wrong, nobody gets hung out to dry. If I offer insurance, and its denied, I dont feel its my ultimate responsibility to reimburse the purchase price. If i do, then I lose out totally. Stores dont do this, ebay doesnt do this, and I do not do this.

I tried to locate a 2nd ski for him, and on one occasion I thought I had found one. Unfortnately obtaining a new ski for him was not possible.

So why dont you ask him the full details? He recieved the JP

's, w/ bindings. I waited on him to get the money together patiently, and talked with him and answered all his questions before he purchased them.

But I let everyone know...BUY INSURANCE, because im not going to get hung if and when something gets dinged up.

b) Im going to ask the people before I list their names, but in the last 3-4 months, Ive sold things to at least 10 diff. people, all who have recieved their gear. I sold a 400 dollar jacket and 200 dollar matching pant combo, that was worn about 10 days, for about 250 bucks. I sold someone goggles and glasses for about 110 bucks. EVERYONE RECIEVED IT

thats all im defending, is my decision to not reimburse someone for something that was damaged during shipping, since insurance wasnt purchased. If you buy a tv and drop it in the parking lot, you sure as hell cant go back inside and get your money back or a new tv. If you buy a shirt and stain it, the store wont take it back. If you buy something over ebay, dont accept insurance, and it arrived damaged, they dont replace it. So therefor, If i offer insurance to a buyer, and they refuse, they were given the oppertunity.

Its regretful that the ski was damaged, but it WAS NOT impact damage, neglect damage, or a ski sold DELAMED. The photo sent to me showed distinct damage, as if the tip of one ski had been literally sanded down with a belt sander (and I AM NOT implying it was done by the buyer). The other ski, as well as the bindings attached, were in the exact shape as described.

Short of that, tons of people have purchased my shit, and recieved exactly what they purchased, at some damn good deals. Ive been selling crap for over 4 years on this site. Unfortunately you dont hear those who got their stuff, only the 1-2 unhappy people, just like those who dont get their skis warranty'd..its all "FUCK THIS, FUCK THAT"
 
Same thing with airplanes... you can have a million perfect flights, but the instant you crash one you're labled as a 'bad pilot'....
 
Mm perfect Anthony...you just said it. You have pictures of the ski before the sale! Post that picture, and I know the other kid's got a picture of the tail because I remember seeing it before posted. IMO that sure as hell isn't shipping damage.

Well, for a little self-defense in this case. Post the pic you sent him presale, so we can see where the damage occured.

goodness, this has been quite the thread. I really can't attest to Anthony Bacon's character whatsoever. I will admit he is a bit slow sometimes and some of the stuff I bought wasn't in perfect condition, but he has hooked me up for the most part. I've got some nice burton gear and sweet orage stuff. I don't know all the details, but I do know that running people's name through the mud on the site doesn't solve a lot of problems. heck, I got completely ripped off for $300 by a kid on this site and it was never resolved even after I called his shop, his house, and emailed and IMed him. Try to resolve your issues outside of NS in a professional manner. Good luck to all involved.

I sent photos of both skis, the bindings, and the bases. After a request, I took even more photos of distinct areas. There was absolutely no damage in any of the photos, especially damage so large and so "non-ski" related as was seen in the photo after the ski was recieved

Ive always let everyone know the status of what I sell. The kid I sold the jacket/pant combo to..I informed him that although they were only worn about 10 total days, they were both color WHITE, and would show more marks. I let him know there was a dime sized stain where I got a bit of pizza grease on the jacket, and offered to have it drycleaned before shipping (at my own cost..drycleaning because it was a puffy jacket). As far as "defect" clothing..my words were it was a "sample", which many people are aware of the fact that sample clothing is the exact same as production, except it hasnt been mass produced yet. The tags werent production tags, but all the electronics of the jacket worked perfectly (it was a Burton Audex jacket). a 600 dollar jacket for 250 bucks shipped is a steal, so what if one of the tags was labeled incorrectly? I cant analyze every stitch and write "1/4 of an inch above the pit seam, there is one thread that is slightly mis-sewed"
