im not hatin or tryin to bring anyone down but lil wayne is NOT the best rapper....not even close. He is great at selling records and once in awhile will put out a hot track, but he is not a good rapper.

Although not the best im suprised i havent really seen COMMON that much.

his songs may be catchy and popular, but hip hop is poetry

hells yeah, that is very sad. and i don't know ehetehr or not he's been mentioned yet but mos def deserves at least an honourable mention, as does common. they have both stuck true to the game and "rappers" like 50 and easy are a disgrace to what rap is supposed to be about.
 
Lil Wayne isnt the best rapper in the world, he's your favourite. and that goes for everyone that said so and so is the best. thats like saying who's the best guitarist in the world? you can't judge that. one could have better technique, the other more emotion. one rapper can sound shitty to you and amazing to me.
