i havent competed in years but i've recently returned to my old training regime for nationals, gymnastics that is. it's a super intense work out and will help keep my flexibility and strength.
basically 4 days a week i will train for 3 to 4 hours at a time. the warm up consists of suicide sprints, push ups, burpees, chin ups, leg lifts, v-snaps, hand stand push ups, and of course stretching. then i practice on the events (bars,beam, vault, floor) and some training on the trampoline. it's a great way to get in shape super fast and really push your athletic abilities. i recomend it. just don't over do it.
