I wouldn't want gore as a president because frankly, I think Bush did a better job of handling things after 9-11 than Gore would have. I dunno about the war thing, but Bush has definately done some very good things no matter what you anti-bush people think. Sure, we had to go to war. But we still helped the Iraqi people. Isn't that good enough?

OOH, heres a reason. Instead of using money for education, health care, etc, he chooses to go to war. The avg cost per tax payer is 1150$. 1150, and now he is bringing in new tax cuts, that will cost the govt 550 billion dollars. There is no posible way the economy can take this battering. By next year, the debt will be 7 TRILLION dollars. reaganomics, the process of annihilating the economy. And whoever says that clinton was running bigger defecits then this predecessors is a moron. The guy ran much smaller defecits, then reagan, or both bushes.

We went to Iraq to liberate the people and find illegal weapons. We did both. We haven't found the weapons of mass destruction but there is lots of evidence it exists.

what good things has he done? he did a good job leading the country after september 11th. he's done jack shit since and is gonna leave this country in the worst shape it's been in since reagan and bush #1 were in the white house. he led us into a war with Iraq against the rest of the world; a war that a senior bush official acknowledged was really only instigated to set an example. 100+ U.S. soldiers and thousands of innocent Iraqis killed to set an example. bush scaring the US with images of mushroom clouds, while privately acknowledging that we're not gonna find any WMDs.

bush's answer for any problem: tax cuts! nevermind the $300 billion trade defecit, the $400 billion budget defecits and the 5 trillion dollar national debt. should I start on the environment? I could go on for a while. both my poly sci and geology professors were ragging on bush on wednesday for ignoring scientific fact and stepping out of line with the rest of the world. you 15 year olds need to give this up and hit the books; I didn't know jack shit about politics and government when I was 15 and I don't think you do either. oh well, no one read this far anways. peace out

Reading this thread has brought up an intereasting thought in my head. If the american government is in 7 trillion dollars of debt, I dont understand why they cant just say ok, you now have your money. Why would this disrupt the economy? Nobody would be losing anything. And the government would be gaining. Would it throw everything off? and why?

well war can boost the economy. world war 2 ended the great depression. this was not world war 2 though. this war just took a $100 billion bite out of our federal budget. and we can't just print up 7 trillion dollars and pay off our debt because that would cause massive inflation and would devalue the money.

 
SVhucker doesn't know much about economics. if you look at almost any war in the history of the united states, a recession follows. world war 2 did not end the great depression. we spend 90 billion on the military every year anyways, so 10 more doesn't really matter. And finally, we pay off our debt by causing inflation and making the debt worth less. For example, Reagan's administration racked up a record amount of debt, but it is pocket change by today's standards.

JFK made tax cuts for that benefited middle class americans. Bush's new plan is going to benefit the more wealthy americans, and the liberals are too ashamed of wealth to see wealthy people prosper. Bush's old plan, however, didn't really do very much at all.
