just for the record i've never been in trouble with the police so i have no personal experiences..however one of my relatives knows plenty of cops and told me how some of them are total asswipes..some are totally cool so it definitely goes both ways.. but there are definitely cops out there who get a serious hard on from the power they get. and clearly some abuse it as well.
 
two types of people become cops. people that want to do good, and people who are insecure and just want to push people around.

my problem is the zero accountability for police. last year 3 policemen discharged 50 rounds into a black guy named sean bell because they thought he was talking about committing a driveby. they were all acquitted.

in my opinion, if you are a cop and break the law, be it running a stop sign or killing an innocent person, you deserve to face much harsher penalties than civilians. you were given trust and power, and you betrayed it, deserving more serious consequences.

lets bash on the guys who go and risk their lives to make ours a bit safer??? i mean really they cant get you in trouble if you truely didnt do anything wrong.... they mabe a hard a about it but i prolly would be to if people ore being raped and killed while have to deal with some punk freshman that thinks he shit because he shopelifted a candybar or what ever the hell they did that doesnt deserve his time but he cant do nothing cause then some pta mom would come raising a bunch of shiz that he is not doing enough to help their punk kid stay out of trouble..... so dont go saying how you are going to "stomp the shit out of those pigs" because they are just doing what they are paid to do soo....
i hate it when people say the police are a bunch of d-bags, especially cause these people dont have the balls to arest a drunken idiot who just abused their wife. when really you are the douche for saying "stomp the shit out of those pigs".... my brother just walked out of my house in his police uniform to go keep the streets safe whil you are sitting on your fat ass making fun of these guys.....
 
totally agreed man.. also an interesting thing is that cops are possibly very different based on where they work. like in my hometown which is in a really wealthy area, they are generally respectful.. i've seen plenty of videos of cops, a lot of city cops especially, being really rude and excessive..both verbally and physically. seriously blowing up on little kids and teenagers which makes them look like angry goons in uniform.

Clearly there are pros and cons for the po po five oh. However, when you need them they are there. And they do make civilized life much more structured. Sure I speed, and yes I am afraid of getting pulled over and don't like the po po for that. I feel that even though I might go 10 over sometimes, I have 100% dedication on driving. I would much rather everyone be like that than have adults driving the speed limit or even under reading, brushing teeth, spacing out. Not saying kids don't do that. But that being said, its still the law, and there's no fighting it. Think of the chaos that would happen if there wasn't the swift hand of the law. It'd be fucking crazy. So for the guy's above mine's post, I glanced at it but i think it was similar to what i said and I agree. (If not, I don't really agree) too lazy to go back and look at it.

but some cops are crooked, but every buisness is like that its just the police incidents are publicised...... not everycop should be blamed for the fraction of the bad ones.... ill admit i dont live in a heavily populated area so i dont no 'bout you city folk......haha

cops are people too, a good deal of them seem to be assholes and a lot of them make mistakes too, dont you make mistakes tho? isnt everyone an asshole at times? idk just some thoughtsss

All Cops are total Fags, They all Abuse their Power. You name one cop who has never abused their rights. Cops are people who need a sense of power and their weak minded. Fuck alll of them!
 
you are the type of person i hope someday gets beaten, mugged, then shot, and the police just cruise on by. Have you ever met a cop while not doing something illegal? They deal with a lot more than you will ever have to in your life. Need an example? My dad is a boston cop, and sure he's dealt with douchebag kids like you, but then there are the other moments, the hard ones. 2 nights ago he texted me saying that he had 3 11 year old kids shot. Some become asses because they just can't deal with stuff. (and don't even say my dad is a total fag, because he is one the most decorated officers in the city)

and second, i cant recall a police officer that has ever made my life safer.

ive had a few encounters with the law, (one for drinking root beer in a bottle on the street...i ended up cuffed on the hood before i could tell him what it was) and all of them have left me jaded.

yes i know, but i'd say calling all cops fags and power tripping etc is not any nicer. Thats what make the police important, that regardless of what you think of them, they'll help you out if you need them.

some cops are amazing and chill. but some others do have their power trips and abuse their rights but they get used to abusing their power because normal people like us never seem to exercise our rights. if a cop comes up to you and you show them you know your rights and you know what to do if your rights are ignored they should lay off if theyre smart. know your rights and don't get pushed around. if you feel youre being harassed straight up ask the cop for his name and badge number. hopefully if the cop is smart they will back off because they know you will report them.

if a cop asks tells you to be quiet tell them you have the right to free speech. if the cop asks to search for something say you don't want them to and that they can't because of the 4th amendment? i think or the fifth but whatever if you know youre rights you can fight back this whole fuck the police theyre pigs bull shit is just a bunch of fucking cowards on the internet trying to sound tough.
 
look at speeding tickets for example.. cops let people off the hook all the time..they let drunk drivers get off too. other people for whatever reason..get fucked.. its all about who you know.

seriously who doesn't speed.. i am not talking about going 120 on the interstate.. i am talking about going 75 or 80 in a 65..a lot of people drive ten miles over, and definitely over five..

so the bottom line is this..when you are going 75 in a 65 and you get pulled over..do you think to yourself "thank you Mr.Officer for protecting me and i'll pay the fine right away..where do i sign and send my check to?"

or is your thought process more like "wtf..don't you have some murderers to go look for..thanks for the ticket a-hole now i am out a week of work"

you can be sure that when they call for donations i'll be pointing out that big fat donation i already made to them on the interstate

 
my dads a cop and i agree.

everyone hates cops so much until their lifes are at risk and they acctually need them there. They can/mostly be very helpful and not just for life indangering times. Cops do save lifes they may make a mistake but its not like they dont get anything done to them for it. Everyone should be thankful not hateful.
 
haha the only people defending cops are their family members, "my dad's a cop my brothers a cop, my grandma's a cop"... shut the fuck up. Just be glad you're above all of it, you'll never get fucked over for a petty crime, you'll never have to deal with some pig lying on the ticket, or to your face. While the rest of us have to lurch around trying not the break some arbitrary law that could ruin our lives. And to the kid that said back talk the cops with "your rights", yea good luck with that, never antagonize a cop, they will fucking ruin you. Every time I've ever dealt with or even spoken to a cop it's cost me money and time. What happens when my house gets robbed? I'll file an insurance claim. What happens if I'm shot and dying on the side of the road? I'll hope the first responders show up. What happens when I get a ticket for 82 in a 75 in the middle of the day in the summer in the middle of no where? I'll pray that cop gets hit by a semi for putting both of us in an exponentially more dangerous situation so he can make quota and get a new Charger. They're above the law, they abuse the system, they carry badges and guns and call the shots.
 
i hate the police too cuz a lot of them r dicks but some of them r just here to protect our sorry asses which makes me like them a little more
 
When i used to skate, the police can be a real bitch. The police to skateboarding is like ski patrol x10 or a driving 2 hours to ski and have it closed cause of rain. Probably worse.

 
yea, i never will be screwed over because of my dad, but i've also never been pulled over or anything. And yea, i speed, normally too much, i'm just not a dumbass and if i see or know cops normally set up traps in the area, i slow down. I do agree that you never antagonize a cop, especially never ask them if they have anything better to do. (truth is that they really don't) And just to let you know, most departments in the US don't have any sort of traffic quota, so that part is a lie.

Here's what i've learned:

-don't do anything illegal if you think or know there may be cops called or around.

-if the cops come, be cooperative (unless its like a huge house party, then run like hell) call the cop sir or ma'am, and follow their orders. Answer their questions, and don't give fake names or info because that will fuck you over even more in the end.

-don't threaten them or say your lawyer will have their ass, because odds are, they won't, and there is also a pretty heavy chance they already know your lawyer from the past.
 
your lucky no one in your family is a cop cause its scary as hell to no that they are out there dealing with crazy drunkin idiots, prime example last night as my earlier post said my brother was going on duty at 'round 3 in the morning some idiot was shooting in the street so my bro. and other officers went to see what the deal is, they pull up and he starts shooting at them, they end up arresting him and no one was hurt.... point is police officers have a horrible job.... that is made worse by people like you....
your right i am above the law on my half of the county.. i travel outside and get in trouble im just like everyone else so you shut the fuck up!!!!!!! and like i said if you dont like getting pulled over for speeding than dont speed (you must be half retarded if you havent realized that)......
cops have to deal with so much more than it looks, police officer suicide rate is 18 per 100,000 or 450 per year..... so dont act like you have it soo bad... its the officers family who have it bad....
 
cops are people, there's gonna be some bad ones and some good ones. Either way you have to respect what they do though

like do you not realize how much they do. Like sure there are a lot of cops who are just fucking assholes who push people around and abuse their power but imagine how the world would be without cops. I know alot of officers who are cool ive also had one or too run ins ( minor shit, like mischeif, i dont know how to spell that) and they have been totall assholes but i have also got into conversations with police officers on and off duty's who were super chill. Maybe your just pissed because your urban got busted or something but 90% off the time all these urban rails are on private property. People generalize to much, they see a couple vid's on youtube and are like "yea all cops are fucking fags". if someone was inside your house and robbing it or someone was fucking with your car or property or threatened you with your life you wouldnt hate the cops then, you would love them. But god forbid that they bust you for doing something illegal! that would just be horrible wouldnt? how these cops that risk their lives took time out of their day to stop you from doing something you shouldnt have been doing, what the fuck is wrong with them.

oh and btw i dont see anything wrong with that first vid. they were restraing the guy. thats there job. there suposed to be all helping get him and restrain him.
 
Completely agree with the post above me, everyone takes cops for granted.

Those cops in the video should not have kept beating on that one guy, but all those people were doing exactly what the cops were doing by beating those cops up. Two wrongs don't make a right.
 
they weren't just restraining him. if you watch it again you can see how he starts to hit him with his baton thing, that was very uncalled for
 
No one is instulting your brother. We are pissed off about cops that abuse power, and the fact is that most people have many more bad situations with cops than good ones. Police dont have a very relevant job, they are there to protect and serve, but I dont feel any safer having them on the street, I am just pissed off at them for enforcing stupid asss rules that dont matter.

Police should sit in the station until someone calls them. The real world is much better at deciding what needs a police officer. Laws should be laws because they are right, not right because they are laws, I think the police forget that often.

 
Yea thats usualy the case, but it makes sense because they downtown cops see the majority of the action.
