Who hates the police?

i hate the police because of the way i was mistreated when i was arrested. i was alone, i complied with everything they said, and i was still roughed up. fuck the police, i hope every fucking cop dies. they might not all have their hands dirty, but they protect those who do, so fuck every single one of them.

so since the state creates a law, and the police are obligated to enforce it, according to some people here, they should all die?

What some of you are saying is like me saying that i saw one white skier dressed as a gangster and he was a douche, so therefore everyone on this site dresses like a gangster and is a total douchebag

Most cop's are ridiculous.. where i live if you are outside after like 9 o'clock you just get hassled and they try to search you. They stop whether you are doing something wrong or not, and assume you are if your between the age of 14-20, you must be doing something illegal

No, the government should die, but the police officers should use some fucking discretion.

Not all police officers are assholes, but they system they are a part of enables assholes to have enough power to the point where it is dangerous.

Fuck you all hating on police, if you get stabbed hopefully they wont be there. Alot of cops are chill and out doing their job giving tickets to punks for drinking (i got one too) or pull you over for speeding (got one too) so they don't lose their jobs. If your not a dick to a cop usually he won't be a dick to you. When i got a mip i was just bull shitting around with him while he was writing me the ticket, he could have kicked my ass out of the camp or give me more shit. There not out there to screw you over and can help you if your not a douche toward them.

Now that being said there are dicks like every other job has dicks in it, you probably work with one. if you don't want them to bother you, dont break the law, or out run them.

Restraining is one thing and that is what they should do, but if you watch the video it shows the cop hitting the guy over and over again with his night stick in slow motion. When you have 3 guys restraining him he is not very dangerous, and he didn't do anything serious enough to have cops beating him.

We're not hating on cops because it's the "cool" thing to do. Through personal experience I've come to loath every last one of them. For example, driving home from echo one day, I was following a group of friends, I noticed their racks weren't clicked all the way down, on a left hand turn I swung wide to the 2nd lane to motion to them. all of a sudden there's a cop tailing me, he moves into the right lane the 3rd lane, it ends soon, pig gets right back behind me and pulls me over cites me for no seatbelt(I was wearing one), and careless driving. He made little notes that I called him a son of a bitch(which I didn't), and instructed the judge: "No deals." It took the help of a lawyer to get the ticket changed. Another ticket I got was downtown Denver, a speeding ticket, the pig said he paced me, bullshit, he just closed the gap and recorded his highest speed. Luckily he hit his head on my ski racks after handing me the ticket. And traffic offenses aren't the only problems I've had with police. A few years ago a CU cop told us the only place we could skate was in the physics building parking lot since it was closed, we go skate over there, sure enough we all got cuffed.

And please stop using the "When you get hurt you'll love them" argument. Sure, a detective might run some prints through the system. But response times are so bad if you call the cops for help they'll most likely show up too late to do anything. And even if they did show up and help great, that's their fucking job.

Another thing I couldn't care less about is the danger factor, no one is forced to become a cop, fuck it's not like they're timber cutters, fishermen, pilots and navigators, structural metal workers, truck drivers, roofers, electrical power installers, farmers, or construction laborers, all of which are more dangerous lines of work than cop.

Sure there are assholes in every profession, but they don't have absolute and supreme authority over you, they don't have the ability to give you jail time or take food from your family's mouths. And usually in any other industry if you fuck up you're held accountable, not the case for cops. They all band together in a system that's more corrupt than the world they're "protecting" us from to save each others asses.

To the the kids with cop dads, I just hope your mom is safe.

i'd say i'm on the "i respect them immensely for putting themselves in danger and recognize them as not only an important but necessary and vital part of society but don't want to see, hear, be near, or come in contact with them at any point" side of the fence on this issue.

I actually agree with you on some of these points, except the job parts. People do get fucked, and it is a 2 way job. Some people do it for genuine reasons, others do it for the power. If it makes you feel better, the power hungry guys normally aren't well liked by other cops, and rarely last more than a few years.

None of those jobs really get shot at ever while working. Yes, they are dangerous though, but the only one i really agree with is fisherman. They can't control what happens out there with the weather etc. But the rest, if something goes wrong, it's going to be someone's fault. If a metal worker falls off a building and dies, he probably fucked up his safety equipment, or just neglected to use it. He wasn't just pulling up to a domestic disturbance call and got shot for no reason at all, other than who he is. Pilot is hardly a dangerous job anymore, but people seem to have this 1920s outlook on it. Pilots hardly even fly the planes anymore, its mostly autopilot. They come in when the shit hits the fan. And once again, most crashes are pilot errors, which happen despite the immense amount of training they get. (my brother is a pilot) And i have little idea how truck driver is more dangerous than cop. Sure...they drive a lot, more potential for accidents, but they usually get into accidents when they've broken the laws on limits about driving per day. If you've been driving for 30 hours straight, something bad is probably going to happen.

You guys need to deal with real cops, not suburban cops who are often douches. My dad works in the worst section of his city, with countless gangs and murders. (i actually got a picture txt this morning of another murder) He's been shot at more times than all of you combined, and he's never been hit. He's been stabbed, gotten into countless fights, and in general beaten the shit out of half of the city's gang members. This type of cops are not douchebags at all. For one thing, because they don't do a lot of traffic work, so no BS tickets or anything, instead they just get the worst of the worst. These are the humble guys who don't deal with the stupid shit, just the murders and gangs

And your last part, about cops bonding together, thats something the media portrays. If a cop fucked up, the first ones to tell him that will be other cops. The department is just trying to cover their ass for the sake of their reputation. That cop that fucked up is screwed though, because he will not be liked by others if it was really his fault, and no one will want to work with him.

and i'm sorry that was so long

your little off on the pilot thing, but ya your dad is the kind of cop that actually does keep the streets safe from crime instead of busting people going 5 miles over or door bell ditching.

Just curious, how am I off on the pilot thing? It, in my opinion isn't as dangerous as most people seem to think it is

No its not really dangerous at all. i was mainly disagreeing on the fact that pilots put a lot of prep time into the flight making sure everything is fine ya know.

oh ok. Yea, they put a ton of effort into making sure everything is in the right condition. Its kinda weird to think that pilots still actually walk around the plane before it leaves to make sure it's all set

By the way, I didn't just pick some random jobs that I thought were dangerous, all of those are from the bureau of labor statistics. Whether or not you consider pilot to be a dangerous job doesn't mean a damn thing.

yea i know, i've seen those before. I just disagree with a few of them. And either way, my point was that cops put themselves into obviously dangerous situations, some of those other jobs might not directly be related to the danger, but accidents happen etc.

Poeple are trying to cram police into one category. obviously there are powerboner cops, obviously there are chill cops.

My life was saved by the quick actions of police. Ive also been unjustifiably fucked over by the police.
