I mean you are right and I do know about the history of the sport. This isn't exclusive to snowsports though, I've been to skateparks where people have their toddlers on plastic scooters and middleschoolers are driving RC cars off of the ramps. It's annoying in general but it is part of the process of extreme sports become more commonplace in society. Plus we all start somewhere, everyone was a dumbass kid in the park at one point, even when the parks were boarder only, the difference is now more people are in the park because more people are participating in the sport.

And yeah I've never seen a snowboard only park in my lifetime, every mountain I ever skied had skier park crew members so I'm alienated from that world. But yes it is annoying when young kids and families show up to the park and get in the way but sometimes thats just a factor of not having a baby park. At carinthia we had a grom park for kids and beginners and 99% of the time they would hang there, the small/medium park Nitro was 50/50, but if you went to the Large or Extra Large parks (Gulch and Inferno) literally no beginners or familys would be there. Do you ride a small hill with only one park cuz then I could understand where the frustration comes from.

I agree with you, great point. My home mountain is pretty big and have been a very popular ski destination here in norway for the past 15 years or so, there are tons of people here every winter. we got two parks, red and blue. I have no problem with kids figuring out park skiing, that’s a part of the process and we have all been there. The biggest issue is their parents who think they own the place and can do what they want. one of my friends literally broke his leg because a swede was tanning in the landing. we try to talk to them nicely and make them understand why they shouldn’t sit in the landing or jump on the side of the rails, but most of them don’t care and some even start yelling at us lol

often stoned dudes in balaclavas, hoodies, and bibs (even if the weather permits otherwise), dragging their fingers on the ground while attempting to do super G turns, on their park skis, are so fucking cringe

look uphill if ur gonna make that wide/quick of a turn, not to mention your form is ass 90% of the time, and your going 30-40 mph max, you look so fucking dumb

like is that honestly fun? skiing without poles and dragging your mitten on the ground every single chance you get?

it hurts to watch, and you are all most definitely virgins

we need to bring back bullying

Thread sucks. Op trying too hard. This hate is weak overall. The 1000 skis roast was only decent one. So far the new forum kids are trash compared to the new forum kids 2 years ago. Step up your Everything or just step back and take notes from woflowz and weast.

its not even a hatred towards rap. i listen to plenty

i just cringe when kids act hard in edits. its wack. rap just does not work in most ski videos IMO, of course there are exceptions (ahmet eye trip)

but watching fucking torin yater wallace or somebody of that nature ski half pipe to a song about selling crack is difficult to watch. there are so many better song choices to make a watchable edit

I watch pretty much every edit that comes out before the season starts and this edit was so so terrible, think I saw about 4 tricks in the whole edit

BRUD and oski are dope skiers but this is the best they can do? 2 years in the street for a couple of ski slides

why do people continue to back these dude. Arsenic, level 1, on3p are all extremely dope companies but why are they supporting these guys

Say it again for those in the back. Every part of that edit was trash. Awful and unlikeable music. Pretty low-grade, with unthoughtful camera quality & angles. Mid tricks that do not deserve to be sponsored by any company. Very few of the fellas have a shred of charisma.

I don't think anyone in this thread is reaching that far but skier-only resorts do have an annoying "Country Club" vibe to them. It's their business and they're allowed to enact other rules but its also okay to poke fun at it too, no?

Lets not kid ourselves though, Alta gets a pass for having fun terrain but Deer Valley and Mad River just seem like golf courses you can ski on.
