This was posted on TGR, I thought people should be aware of it.. it's unofficial, from a guy that does AC
"Limited explosive testing today resulted in wall to wall windslabs up
to 160cms in the Glacier Cirque and Glacier Couloir. Slabs were
released with 1 kg charges. Obviously a deep instability is present in
north aspects above treeline in the Whistler area. Please respect
avalanche closures and stay out of the Peak and Harmony while we are
doing AC. Use extreme caution in all above treeline areas.
Many people were busted hiking up Pika's Traverse today, all of whom
went by a clearly marked avalanche closure at the top of Green Chair.
Overall it was a great day on the hill, but we definately spent a lot
of time chasing people around behind the closures that would have been
better spent doing avalanche control to try and open the Peak and
Harmony for hiking. Some of these people were day ticket's who didn't
have a clue, but a lot of them were advanced and expert skiers who
pretended to not see the signs just to score some pow turns.
Please use your head.
All in all a great day with lots of good skiing to be had!"
Just thought I'd add that heads up...
