I was at a party last night just chillin with a few friends smoking some hookah/herb, well one of the girls there was pretty drunk, while my friend had just arived from work... Anyways, he never had anything to drink, and ended up making out and stuff with the drunk chick. They went and left to go find somewhere private. Meanwhile the remaining people at the hookah got pissed at the guy for taking advantage of her...

Anyways, she said this morning that she was all embarrased and didnt know what happened...

Pisses me off.

What are your thoughts, NS, about taking advantage of drunk chicks?
 
This is true, however, most of us were high. Which is no excuse I know, but we did not realize what happened until they left.
 
i've seen a girl that couldn't even stand or
talk lose her virginity to her boyfriend. but I've also seen a girl take two shots and use it as an excuse to go home with a guy. most of the time I don't have remorse for these girls because they put themselves in the situation.
 
basically my take is just the other night i was hammered as fuck. i blacked out but i remember bits and pieces basically making out with his chick then getting dome multiple times. the next day everyone was like oh yeah dude she blew you twice i was like hahha dope but was she drunk?? and they were like nahh so im stoked that this sexy chick swallowed the gravy sober. so just last night took her out to sonic she invited me back in we boned. if anything me getting taken advantage of was a fucking awesome thing

And yes, he was taking advantage of the situation. But he didn't rape her. Not unless she said, "No." or "Stop" etc etc. It sounds like she let it happen and was embarrassed. Not rape.
 
Actually yes, intoxication is a defense to murder. You have to be totally fucking blackout, though. Basically it has to be at a point where you might as well be sleepwalking.

And yeah, taking advantage of a drunk girl in many cases qualifies as sexual assault / rape. It's a fine line, don't even try it, it's really, really not worth the risk. I mean, do YOU want to end up having that charge against you? Once you're charged with rape that's pretty much who you are for the rest of your life, there's no way you can live that down.

but honestly, reading all these responses (i hope they're not serious) is kind of fucked. is anyone noticing that this dude was completely sober and took advantage of a drunk girl? regardless of what her intentions were, that guy should never had done anything and you fucking pussies should have protected her. that whole "oh man we were just too high" is such a bitch excuse. next time grow some balls and be a fucking man when your "friends" aren't.

The OP wanted know the thoughts of NS, so if your opinon is rape then your post is ok, but if you think people need to be in control of themselves and their bodies even while intoxicated your post is removed? Or was the entire post deleted because he referenced the kitchen in the last sentence?
 
Yeah think about it. So this girl goes down to the police station claiming that she was raped by so-and-so. At this point on it doesn't even matter if she was intoxicated or not. The police will give her a rape kit and find so-and-so's semen in her body. In court, that's the police's rape kit evidence versus so-and-so's word which is in no way trustworthy especially since they went to a secluded location where there were no witnesses. So-and-so gets convicted of sexual assault and is sent to prison. Who's the one getting raped now?
 
why do people let themselves get drunk enough for things like this to happen? is being black out drunk more fun than just being self controlling drunk? i will admit that being a touch drunk is fun but i dont see how being over the top drunk is fun.

with that said what the guy did was pretty unethical and i wouldnt defend the girl at all. she put herself in that situation.
 
I think its a grimey thing to do and kinda fucked up, but when you think about it, one of you guys that was drinking with her should have hooked up with her? mayeb thats what she really wanted.

"drunk" is not a clear term. i think a chick who doesnt want to get laid wont do anything unless she blacks out. in this case, its clearly rape.

but if she can talk kinda straight and walk, its not that big of a deal.

and to the other guy who said that thing about how easy it is for girls to claim rape, i have to agree. there is a lot of bad stuff going on in this area.

i just know one case (i know its not rape, but still), where a taxi driver was so "nice" and brought a 15 yr old girl home even though she didnt have any money. when she left the car, he supposedly touched her ass. no witnesses, just 1 on 1.

a month later she "remembers" that thing and files a suit against him. i dont remember what he got exactly, but it was something in the area of a few thousand bucks and/or a month jail.

i mean, idk what happened, but the whole outcome of this was so clear. 1-1, she said this and he said that. i think its somewhat 70/30 FOR the girl in cases like that.
 
People like you are life ruiners, give women the idea if they get a little drunk and make a bad decision that its rape.

Alcohol is not a fucking excuse, if you don't know your limits and you don't want you're inner slut coming out don't drink. Of course if they are passed out and cant say “yes” then I can certainly see that being called rape. I mean if being drunk and having sex counts as rape then why cant I get away with driving drunk. As I clearly was to trashed to make the right decision and drove anyways. Nope that wouldn't count, I would still be punished. But if I had sex I could pull out the rape card.

i agree with you. the degree of how drunk she is very important. a girl shouldnt be able to claim rape because she drank 2 beers and she can say "everybody knows i get a little tipsy and slutty when i drink" or such stuff.

but if a girl just rolls around on the floor, cant stand or walk, then i think noone should excuse the obvious rape with "she didnt know her limits".

with that being said, OP, how drunk was the girl?

I'm just tired of people throwing around the word rape. It can ruin lives I have seen it to an exent. For me I would never have sex with a drunk person while sober as I think its a little scummy and low. I wont even have sex with my girl friend when she is drunk and I am not, as I do not feel comfortable with it.

We have laws about self induced intoxication and they are that you can't blame alcohol on doing something stupid.

I knew a kid in the same position (except he was drunk too). He and the girl banged and the next morning she freaked and said he raped her. Well the kid won.

But... taking advantage of a drunk girl is never cool. You guys should have stepped in and told him she was too drunk for that.
 
If a girl is drunk and you're sober, it's slimy to try and hook up with them. That being said the rape card is BS. A girl makes the decision to get drunk, if they fuck up and hookup with a guy and realize it was a mistake the next morning... they should be able to take responsibility for those actions.
