and I tried to build a backyard setup when I was like 14... my parents wouldn’t let me because they thought it was “unhealthy” to want to ski that much and that it was “bizarrely strange to wanna go out in the hot summer in ski gear just to go down a ramp”.
I built one anyway last year
also around that age my parents would get pissed that I wanted to ski at least twice a weekend. I would go on Saturday and they would be mad if I even asked them I could go Sunday too, even if I had my own ride there.

They were right but I'll never admit it.

I get it though our society is built on some shot beliefs but damn. If you're happy and you're not on the droogz friggin send it my dude. Tell them the abortionator says it's cool. That should help prolly.

It was certainly big, but by no means the baggiest/most gratuitous jacket you'd see on the mountain (this was prolly around 2009/10 when the gangster era was still in full effect.)
My mom was like "no way, this is way too big you'll look ridiculous" but luckily the store employee clearly knew his shit and walked over and was like "oh no ma'am, you should see some of the stuff people are wearing these days, if anything this is on the smaller side and he'll fit right in." Convinced her to buy me the XL and I was so hyped.
I imagine others have really similar stories

I barely ever even do dangerous stuff anymore cause thats for kids. She's come to terms with us loving freeskiing but it just stresses her out too much to watch. Dad loves it though, he's always down to help build booters and film.
