bad: many concussions which caused bad memory loss(i don't really remember anything before 6th grade), badly bruised femur, two thumbs which will never be the same ever, very bad knees which don't work like they should, hips being bruised all the time during the season for which i'm getting pads this year, other smaller injuries.
my legs get strong from racing and i get cardio fit from ski touring but all in all it's not a great workout, i have to erg in the winter to stay fit for rowing
I honestly don't know what you guys are doing, some of you are doing something wrong when you're not gaining nothing from skiing.
And like mark abma said in EDIAS, something along the lines of be aware of the mountains and the capabilities. You guy's should really train to keep your body in tip-top shape so you don't progress these types of injuries. like broken femurs? Fuck that's harsh!
Skiings fucked up my left thumb and both of my hips, i cant take any hit on them anymore, even the smallest fall hurts like fuck and will make those places swollen.. But i think i've gained some muscle on my legs nothing much tho.
unless you live out west and are rockin bump runs all day, or were horribly out of shape to begin with, skiing is really not very much exercise at all. active, yes, but it's not gonna put you in the greatest shape of your life unless you're doing other things in training for skiing, like hitting the gym. mountain biking and surfing have gotten me in much better shape than skiing ever has.

Just because you can take "800 lbs" off the rack doesn't mean your actually doing a rep...you should probably have a coach/trainer at your high school show you how to lift properly before you hurt yourself
Skiing/racing has destroyed my knees/back and a few concussions, but I wouldn't stop for anything
torn mcl/acl in both knees, detached hamstring from pelvis ( 8 inches of the bone) shattered shin plate, one real concussion ,,, but most importantly : skiing has given me a big fucking grin every-time i go, and that beats any pussy injury

My " form and range of motion is perfect. Thus i don't train at school i train at my local gym. And that's your fault that you hurt yourself.
Are you single-minded. do i have to list ever excersise and technique i do in order to please you? You need to get educated. Ever heard of a equal/well toned body?
