What skiing has done for you physically

Skiing broke my leg, and collarbone, and gave me head trauma. Yeah pretty awesome. My quads are very strong though.

Not lopsided as a motherfucker, most any football player's squat is quite a bit higher than their bench, because your quads are twice the size of any upper body muscle. I know All-Canadian lineman who can rep out 225 maybeee 5 times, but can squat 495 for reps eaaaassssyyyy.

You should have quoted me, because that's not what I said. My chest is the least developed part of my body, regardless of how much I try, it just doesn't grow in the same manner as any other part of my body. I guess doing flat bench and nothing else for it is doesn't really lead to hypertrophy.

Seriously real fitness isnt about squats or deadlifts... I go to the gym to get bigger not for any sports or to improve my core balnce and shit... When i go to the gym i work hard on my upper body cuz thats what im looking to improve and grow bigger... I used to be in an intensive hockey/school program for 2 years where i would play over 10hours of hockey a week during the whole school year and all my teammates went to the gym to get big and cut so i nver do any squats or deadlifts.. i concentrate on uppper body and cardio, alot of cardio.. and abs to get that perfect situation ;) ... that doesnt mean i dont do legs though.. in my program one day outta 4 is dedicated to my legs.. i do hacksquats on the machine, leg raises and other shit i also like to train my calves just to keep my upper and lower body proportional.. (not like i have a big upper body anyways).. ive been going to he gym for over a year and i just turned 16 a month ago and im 6''2 and 186lbs and a pretty low body fat percentage
 
Button, I'm talking about dynamc exercises that work the whole body, not just gym rat stuff that targers one part and ignores the rest. The gym is important, but it's only half the story. You seem pretty proud but you neglected to list your 40yd dash time, your hangs or your snatch weights, so I'm assuming you don't think those are as important as how much you curl, which again leads me to believe you're just a self-absorbed meathead in training, oblivious that there's aother whole side to their fitness. Swimming, crossfit, bike riding, hiking with a heavy pack and the like are all good examples of dynamic exercises that target more than one thing at a time like balance, endurance and strength. Not trying to dig on you but for someone seemingly so sure they're the shit, you seem to have huge gaping holes in your own self-image.

Obviously you are into fitness which is good, but you're doing yourself a disservice by only doing the first eight workouts that come to mind. Now go get you some dood, you're halfway there.

PDog, jesus dude... If you're only doing the exercises you think will get you girls, you're doing it ALL WRONG. Do it to make yourself the best example of yourself you can put forward, gain confidence from your newfound well-rounded fitness and the girls will notice. Stop ignoring the bottom half of your body, your core strength will forever be shit unless you start working on that.

Or you two could just have a ski off like the olden days. That's my vote.
 
well skiing has torn my acl/meniscus and on a summer tramp sesh befor that tore 3 ligaments in my ankle so its been pretty brutal on me

Refer to the part I wrote to button, who probably took it to heart because he actually seems to be into his athletic performance all around and is probably looking for ways to be better, rather than you who just wants to believe he knows it all at a scrawny-ass 16 or whatever, and nobody can tell you shit.

Alls I'm saying is mayby you should broaden your game, dude. Step outside the box. Doing one exercise to the Nth degree isn't doing you any real favors. Mix that shit up! Talk to a professional about where you want to be in a year physically and athletically, and see what they have to say to you. Can't hurt, yo.

40 Time was 4.73 at 213 lbs, I'm down to 204 now, so it'll be a bit faster.
I can hang clean like 205, I've never been taught it properly so I don't wanna mess something up.
Crossfit is sick, just not really that amazing for football. If I was just a recreational weightlifter then I would definitely do Crossfit, it makes a pretty well rounded athlete.
 
I now have a six pack, huge biceps, ripped thighs, strong glutes, chiseled jaw, and perfect pecs. Thanks for asking.

Given me a few concussions, broke my ribs, numerous severe bruising to the point where I can't walk.

But hey, I've got awesome balance which helps me out a ton
