What scooter?

I’m not sure if anyone on this app does any scootering in the skatepark but I’m tryna get into it but don’t know a good one to buy. Let me know if you got any advice

Search bar. We have a 'being gay' thread already

But in all honesty, I am always kinda jealous of the scooter kids because they seem to be able to throw huge tricks so much easier and the progression is just so much quicker. I've noticed a lot of them have 6"/7" decks which is apparently the craze right now. More surface on rails and boxes and more surface to get your feet on landing a trick. It makes sense, I like to skate a 8.5 rather than a skinnier deck, just a little more forgiving.

Just make sure you ddon't start wearing cuffed jeans, a rolled up beanie, and a baggy t over a hoodie too.

That’s kinda the reason I wanted to get a scooter because I don’t have the time to really skateboard and progress.

Don't listen to the dudes hating on scootering. Bunch of pussies who would probably get their shit absolutely rocked by any of my scooter homies lol.

Anyways, the setup you have is going to depend on what kind of tricks you want to do. If you are more focused on "park" style tricks (buttercups, bri flips, multiple tailwhips, flairs, etc.) most people opt for a smaller lighter setup (however no one really rides a deck narrower than 5" anymore). If you are more into "street" style of tricks (rails, ledges, etc.) you might opt for a bigger deck for grinds.

Personally I am 6'2" and my setup would go something like a 6" wide deck, 28-30 tall bars.

Check out Aztek scooters if you're looking for a sort of "one size fits all" budget complete. https://www.thevaultproscooters.com/catalog/product/view/id/54329/s/aztek-architect-pro-scooter-co780/?gclid=CjwKCAjw3POhBhBQEiwAqTCuBqLvL5F0VuJPzcN_l-EKGX9MmUPnN-y1ZZsvIjLSOCdh_92FlcPnUBoCWYIQAvD_BwE

Thankyou very helpful. I think I’ll tend to lean forward more tailwhips and grinds just everywhere not just in the skatepark.

Fuck all you haters. Scooters can do cool shit. Cedar point used to do an action show a few times a day and the dude on the scooter was insane

Ohio isn't real bro.

Since everyone seems to be clueless to the passion of scootering, please watch this video.

If you don't want to watch it all, skip to the ender.

Pretty hard edit but I still cant take it seriously. Definitely they've got skill but man it just looks juvenile

for fucks sake have some god damn self respect. get a skateboard/bmx do some drugs and pull some bitches like the rest of us

I had a friend who was into scootering. He severed his achilles tendon completely when he was whipping the scooter around one time. It chopped him in the back of the ankle. It's been 10 years and his leg still isn't the same.

Love a story with a good ending.

i admittedly have an irrational hatred towards scooterers. adolescent trauma doesnt just disappear

My younger brother got a scooter when we were kids. Being older I was like man that’s so wack but then slowly I was like well it looks kind of fun and then like covertly I started learning flat land tricks and manuals when no one was around. Only years later did I summon the courage to admit this anonymously on an Internet forum.

It looks like it's easy to progress really fast so that might be fun. As a lollerblader, I can say that at least you'll have other people around to ride with.
