I was skiing out in Waterville on a ski trip with a good friend of mine. It had previously rained the other day and temperatures dropped causing for ice that makes midwest ice even look amazing. It was so bad we were just skiing runs cause just landing of rails hurt, then when we were just riding runs we would just slide down on our bellies cause you would get going so fast. Well at the top about 500 ft from a chair we were on some empty run and saw a ski just sitting on the side and debated on whether or not to take it and left thinking maybe somebody was pissing in the woods, even though one ski doesn't add up to that. Well sure enough we ski down and some tourist obviously not an experienced skier was further down maybe 400 yards and I felt guilty leaving him there. So my friend stayed with him well I hiked back up which took like half an hour no joke cause footing was horrible and I kept sliding down. Sure enough I did it and felt great about it. The guy was so stoked he offered me twenty bucks and I insisted he kept it but after he kept insisting I took it, which made my day cause I brought a lunch that day that was not made by my mom so it was horrible and I got to eat over priced chalet food that day. He made my day, I helped him out so I guess it really wasn't that nice of me.
Sparknotes:Icy day, guy loses ski, I ski by, see him, hike up, bring him his ski, gives me 20 bucks
