My science teacher (lived in Oregon) said that Mt. Hood is active and could erupt at any time. What do you guys think would happen if Mt.Hood erupted? I think Will and Andy would probably just hippy killer the lava.

I think pyroclastic flows would destroy the wildlife and communities surrounding the region. I think a change in regional climate and potentially global climate would occur. I think a lot of animals would die. And I think all the rich, spoiled little fucks will have to go somewhere else for their skiing summer camp from now on.

13374017:noodle_dude said:I'm saying that the eruption could happen so fast that people wouldn't have time to react
13374010:noodle_dude said:Also it's a stratovolcano so it would be a effusive eruption. it would be mostly fast flowing lava not ash and toxic gas.

But I do have a plan if it starts to blow
1. Gather all pets and toss them into a sheet
2. Toss sheet over shoulder and run to my car
3. Drive to your teachers house and say I'm sorry
4. Go back and get all my Wizard Wax.
13374104:Granite_State said:Hence the pyroclastic flow I mentioned. But there would also be plenty of ash and toxic gas from the initial eruption, strato and cindercone volcanos have the highest gas contents of any volcano. The only types of volcano that doesn't release high quantities of ash or gas are shield and lava dome volcanos. Strato and lava dome volcanos have the most violent eruption. If Mt. Hood went, it would be very bad.

13374094:Steezy_IN_KC said:I read a hypothetical article about this last year. I guess tons of wildlife was evacuating the area and they thought it was going to erupt. 6th sense theory basically.
Wish I could find that article again. Basically Bye Bye west coast. I was on the edge of the "ash zone" if I remember correctly. That's the Kansas and Missouri border.
