Besides the odd red bull from the local supermarket and a pack of gum from the check out line about the craziest things that i'v got a five finger discount on would be food from the local hill. I have a hard time paying 11.00$ for a mediocre at best burger.. Oh thats a lie, I swiped a pair of oakley shades from some store. Just put them on and walked out.. and cologne. Hollister and Armani Code. But thats it, I swear.
But like someone said above me, getting caught changes everything. Was putting a pack of gum in my pocket and this chick from like 6 rows over sniped me.. Got off with a warning but since that day I haven't taken anything. It doesn't come to mind anymore when i'm shopping either.
MY #1 rule though: Never take more than needed. If you're steeling gum, take 1 or 2 packs. You don't need 6..
forgot I mention I used to steal condoms back in middle school, evn though I had no use for them. I feel kinda bad, I stole a lot of them. I din steal anymore but my kleptomaniac friend still does, and it actually pisses me off
6 handles, probly 2-3 6 packs, candy, 2 pairs of shoes, shirt, jacket, SnapBack, 2 pairs of sunglasses, tons of shit from the Wing bar, halo 2, axe spray and shampoo,
my friend and I went to this pizza place by our school and they have punch cards that they stamp with this lips stamp and when the dumb botch who worked there stamped his car she kept it and handed him the stamper. So we would eat free pizza all the time, he would give people stamped cards for their birthdays and shit. thats the only thing i have ever really stolen besides computer stuff.
People that steal food from their hill. Why not just pack a lunch? Not that hard, and that way you dont have to spend ridiculous amounts on food at the hill. Plus you dont have to worry about being caught and loosing your pass.
your right, but sometimes a sandwich dont cut it. sometimes if ive been working hard, out in the cold i want a nice warm burger. and i dont have money because i just bought an over priced ticket
if you can drive, get a small camping stove and put it in your car. There are plenty of ways to get warm food without stealing it. As for the overpriced lift ticket, you could always hike for your turns (assuming you live in a place where snow isnt 99% manmade) or just not ski if you cant afford it.
i was late to this thread, but here's my opinion on stealing: if people didn't steal other people's shit, the world would be a fucking awesome place. but instead we have to buy insurance and locks and still have the things we spent our hard earned money on stolen by fuckers who couldn't care less. so to everyone in this thread dropping lists of all the things they've stole, you are all helping make the world a shittier place, congratulations.
After a late night toke sesh I will usually head to safe way and swoop a piece of cake put it in my back pack, tuck 2 beers in my pants then buy a $0.75 bagel and walk out casually. I haven't been stopped yet.
most of these people dont steal other peoples stuff. they seal stuff from stores which are basically stealing from us because they charge way to much for shitty ass stuff
I'm not going to say that I've never stolen anything. I have-- from a store, not a person. Both are shitty things to do, but stealing from a person is arguably worse.
That being said- it is one of my biggest regrets and I would never do it again. Wish I never had. I hate it when people steal from me.
same with best buy....but when I worked there the cops never failed to catch the person, if some one saw you actually pocket it cops were called and they would hide on the side of our building for the person to walk out....so fucking epic when they think they got away and the cops have them hand cuffed 5 minutes later.
but everyone does that and i guess it really doesn't count as stealing
aslong as putting an energy drink in a large cup the put the lid on doesn't count either
Last year i was really cold and it was a day when we had a snowstorm and it was basically all ice so we just chilled in the lodge, and the heater went out.. so i asked my friend for some of his drink (i don't know what it was but it was steaming) But he was being a dick so i went up poured a hot chocolate and just left
and i actually didnt feel to guilty because everything there is like $28432 more money then it should be
but they would show up pretty quickly and at the store I worked at the cop shop was just right down the road so they were always around, stopping in the store after their shifts and such...I always thought people were idiots for coming in there trying to steal shit....but the manager I had was a hard ass she was pressing charges no matter what.
