What Do YOU Do To Fall Asleep?

Maybe your room is too hot? I know I can't get to sleep when it's hot, so I always have a fan going. The constant humming sound of the fan would prolly make you sleepy too. Try that out.

Alright, this is going to sounded retarded, but whatever. My dance and drama teacher did this to our class. Basically, in order to reach complete relaxation, you have to do the opposite of complete relaxation.

So to start off, make sure you are lying on your back, with your eyes closed, and in a comfortable position where you will not be tempted to move, you have to be completely still for this to have it's full effect. Then, breathe in through your nose, and out through your mouth, and keep it going. Then, flex your toes. Hold your breath while you are doing this. Then, flex your feet. Once again, hold your breath while you do this. Slowly work your way up and flex every muscle that you know how to flex in your body one by one, hold your breath when you flex. (calves, quads, abs, pecs, biceps, forearms, hands, fingers, shoulders, neck, face [yes, face] etc. etc.) Then, once you have gone through all those muscles, take one deep breath, hold it, and flex every muscle you just flexed all at once. Hold it for ten seconds, then release.

It's not necessary, but if it helps you relax you can imagine you are at your home ski hill, or at your favorite resort, or just your favorite place, but, you have to have been there before.

This really works, my dance and drama teacher taught us how to do it, it sounds incredibly psycho and stupid but it works, I promise.

No joke, this shit works. It usually takes longer than a good dose of nyquil or something but it does work.

Or maybe she was fucking with you?

My mom said that the only way to get fiberglass particles from insulation out of my skin was to take a cold shower. Luckily I called her out on that one ahHAH!

you need to go to sleep at the same time for about 5-7 days in a row to develop a sleep pattern. these shits are fo real and at the same time every day you will fall asleep in 3 seconds. same thing with waking up, you will always wake up without an alarm clock refreshed and not wanting to go back to bed

the fan humming just pisses me off a bunch, and i cant sleep cuz of it, wlel im in the same boat tonigth and i cant sleep. I didn't even nap today

when i go to bed, i just begin to think, and the thoughts get more slurred until they are just dreams, and i wake up. never think about what you have done or will do in reality, you will not sleep, the less realistic the better.

i get insomnia sometimes, i just say fuck it, i'll just fall asleep easier tomorrow night, getting stressed out WILL NOT HELP.

as for music, calm crap gets distracting. For some odd reason, heavy stuff at low volume knocks me out. try Lamb of God or The Autumn Offering. this even works in class.

try to get a pattern down, that will help a lot

if all else fails just stay up late all the time and pass out in random places.

yank one

watch an epy of southpark

if all else fails take one or two shots of hard liquor rum or brandy is the best for this.

I tried this once when I ran out of Benadryl.

Sometimes I have to get up at 3:30am for work. If I slept in too late the morning before, I can't go to sleep much before 12. This leaves me with very little sleep so I need something to make me tired earlier. I usually take 2 benadryl and fall asleep just fine. On one particular evening my roommates decided to use up the last of the benadryl and leave me high and dry. So I switched to Gin. I had about 3 shots of it and got ready for bed. I started to feel it a little so I laid down around 10. Unfortunately, it wore off at 1am and I laid in bed for 2.5 hours and then got up for work. Needless to say, that day was rough. I have another one coming up like that, I'm not sure how I'll handle it this time, we will just have to see.

So the drinking route doesn't always work, sometimes it just screws you over more.

the reason u cant sleep is either b/c ur sleeping patterns are changed, or ur body is secreting sum chemical(i forget the name cuz im tired). the chemical wont let ur body sleep until it needs the sleep. so work harder during the day, and u will want to fall asleep. if its ur sleeping patterns itll just change on its own.

yup that totally works. its a method of relaxation taught in yoga. really good stuff. while you're doing it if you think of your most favorite and safe probably calming place, just imagine you are lieing in that place. usuallly works like a charm for me. i usually skip the flexing part and just relax every muscle in my body i fall asleep before i get to far though.

i listen to explosions in the sky. that always gets me to sleep sometimes i just stuff my face in the pillow and end up sleeping or i think about what i did that day but i usually forget what i did and get tired and fall asleep

ambien cr if you really have problem you can get a prescription and its half sleeping medicine and like half lsd so from what ive heard you have crazy dreams

do yoga (the things with tensing/ relaxing muscles someone mentioned earlier.) it works but im not a huge fan of it. if I can't fall asleep I listen to really mellow music. try some instrumental tracks(allman brothers have a lot of good ones.) or some jazz. or listen to some music that makes you want to go skiing to get your energy out then take it down to mellow stuff.

smoke a bowl in the shower

i need a med card or something cus marijuana actualy helps me sleep and helps me out with stomach problems i gots

last night didn't fall asleep at all cuz i thought id miss my doc appointment, took an hour nap, didnt actually like sleep though.... Now still awake, 5am, like 40 hours w/o sleep... This fucking suckksssss
