i completely disagree about the evo being worse on loose surfaces, having driven both in snow, and a little dirt, the evo's handling advantage stays the same when it gets slippery too.
but yeah i completely agree about the driver thing. all you really need is a well balanced car, if you cant have fun in something like a miata, e30, old gti etc.. then you need to learn how to drive, the last thing you need is a bunch of power to cover up your bad driving.
honestly, id much rather drive an mx5 or a miata over an sti, or even an evo, just because its so much more involving, better feeling, and challenging to keep speed.
