What Camera?!?!?!

if the sony was as good, it would cost the same. but it doesn't, so it's not.

i swear to god, one of my biggest pet peeves in m&a is when a kid comes in asking for help and people don't tell him what he wants to hear, so he stops listening to what everyone (and by everyone i mean people who have much, much more knowledge about cameras) is telling him and begins acting like he knows exactly what he is talking about. listen to everybody in this thread man, we're trying to help. if you keep writing off our advice, we won't hesitate to stop helping.

You're pushing it bud...

I'll tell you once again: you don't really know what you're talking about at all. That's not a bad thing, but it is when you try to prove us wrong by spitting out facts that have no relevance (same fps tells you NOTHING about video quality). Stop talking, start listening.

that is what i have been doing for the whole time haha because he is just so dumb and arrogant not listening to the truth that I just keep reading for the laughs!

i just really dont want a video camera i would want a starter dslr that is good for the moeny and be able over time to keep on getting new things for it until I outgrow it

You asked what camera and we told you what camera would be best for you.

Now, if you dont care about what we say go buy a DSLR.

Why did you even ask us? Your posts amaze me.

no i get the whole thing about that but i dont under stad why if over time i can go over 1000 if i got a t2i setup off ebay. t2i and 50mm lense for 600 (yes i did find that) then keep adding on to it as i get more money

Go for it.

You get a camera, people won't continue getting frustrated, and this thread will die.

win-win.

im thinking about getting the tm700 but why is it soooo good and does anyone have a good sample video of skiing filmed with it?

because if everyone else one here says i shouldnt get a dslr then im not gonna ask any more just is there any other cheeper camcorders that are stiil really good and right around like 500

@akriegs video-that handplant frontflip disaster on the battleship (i have no idea what to call the trick, thats my best guess lol) was so sick.

get an hf200 it's better because it doesn't use tapes, and I don't think you understand the concept of "addons"

>OP asks what camera is best for him

>OP receives well-expounded answers

>OP deems advice wrong

This thread is hilarious.

60i = 30 fps = half frames = half resolution

60p = 60 fps = full frames = full resolution

1080i technically comes out to 540p (full frames), but it can physically fit a 1080 frame.

60i is outdated and looks like garbage; avoid it. However the hv30 shoots "24p" which is perfect for your budget/level.
