What about Skyrim?!?!?

at 11:30 i asked if my roommates gf, who is sitting watching me play mw3, wants to play skyrim. 6 hours later and she's still playing, and every time i pass her she starts talking about dragons

 
I didn't know it was Bethesda that made it. I have never played an Elder Scrolls game & I got Skyrim last night and I'm addicted. It's Fallout in a medieval setting. Pretty badass.

Overall a bit disappointing, but still a pretty fun game. I already finished the Dark Brotherhood quest line (which wasn't that creative) and mainly did a bit of exploring. Has anybody found a copy of The Lusty Argonian Maid? The mage guy in Winterhold made a reference to it but that's all.
 
Same exact thing Im doing... Very new to this though and was wondering how I acquire new spells that are permanent (not like scrolls). I have fire and shock/lighting that I had since the beginning, and Im only lvl5 , would I have to keep leveling in magic to get more spells?
 
you have to looo around for spell tomes, which are books that teach you spells. youcan find them lying around on peoples desks or whatever(usually in dungeons or near ebemies) or you can buy some from stores I think. that winterwell place(not sure of name) can also teach you a lot inmagic, look on your map I think its really far north
 
Ahhh thanks, do you remember any of the places you found these books at? If not Ill just keep looking around, a little bit of a pain going from town to town
 
And the magic college if you can get in. Anyone here good at enchanting? Chillrend and nightingale blade are our of magic
 
the college is in winterhold, so check your map on how to get there. Winterhold should already be prelocated on ur map, even though you havent been there and cant fast travel there.
 
Is anyone else having problems with the storm cloak quests? I'm not sure if im just overlooking something really stupid. Or the Game glitched. kind of annoying... Other then that fucking sweet game.
 
I had a major glitch during the final battle of the college of winterhold quest series. Tolfdir was basiclly laying on the ground facedown fully alive but not able to move, my opponent was focuesed on him the whole time casting spells(and somehow missing) so i basiclly just owned him with ease.

kinda bummed though it wouldve been a really fun fight.
 
Bit of a update for people playing this on Xbox.

If you install the game onto the hard drive, some of textures are lost, meaning you won't see the best of it.

"The issue only seems to manifest if you have the Xbox 360 version of Skyrim installed to the hard drive - a process that is entirely optional. In this case, the highest resolution versions of the textures appear to stall and not load, meaning that you're definitely not seeing the game at its best. If you remove the install, and run the game directly from the DVD, the best quality artwork returns to the game."

Other than that, it's an awesome game. Just a shame I haven't had a great deal of time to get far into it yet...
 
I was wondering this too. I thought by finishing the quest **spoilers** where you kill the head of the orphanage for that kid, the Dark Brotherhood was supposed to recruit you, but I finished that a while ago and still nothing...
 
im on that quest right now^ but in oblivion you had to kill someone and then sleep and someone from the dark brotherhood came and got you so its probably similar to that

then again a 3 second google search would tell you anything you want to know about the workings of a video game so just google it
 
did you get the note with the hand print on it yet? if so, go to the inn in riverwood and rent a room. Go to sleep, and you should wake up in an abandoned shack with atris, this will be the start of you joining the DB
 
just got the Gauldur Amulet from some random ass quest series..

+30 Health, Magicka, and Stanima. Really helpful item.
 
somebody should get a cult going, I believe it has potential...

on a side note, first time not on mobile ns since I got skyrim...
 
so I can't join the mage college, the guy that is supposed to attack you and you use the lesser ward right at the beginning of joining glitched and won't attack me >:(
 
Haha, yes lol.

I really can't be bothered spending time gaming. The only thing I sometimes play is Half-Life 2 Deathmatch because that's what I used to play like 6 years ago. But so far I've played 84 hours in about 2 years...

Apart from that, no gaming. Though Assassin's Creed looks fucking amazing.
 
consider yourself lucky. The mage college quests are fucking stupid hard and long. You do get some pretty fucking sweet armor at the end. Its actually pretty cheap how good it is
 
DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME IT IS HORRIBLE!!!!

Started playing this game last week. It was horrible, I have not done anything since, all I do is play the game. It is so addicting and you literally cannot leave the game unless you complete a 3 hour sitting which is fairly easy for me. The game seems to speed up time in the real world. When you play the game for what seems like an easy 5 minutes, 2 hours may be gone in actuality. I used to be a meth head but broke my addiction...this is so much harder to quit than meth. Being away from the game makes me feel so empty, it feels like im just a corpse, already dead with no purpose and then someone throws me onto some train tracks and i get runover multiple times. I know it feels this way because I already tried to quit once and gave up.

Soooo in other words, yea this game is the greatest bestest game ever but, make sure you have butt loads of time to play like, your in highschool, for college students-> on winter break, and for anybody with a life, job, woman....don't play this game unless you want to lose all you hold dear.
 
yep, still didn't work, oh well I'll do them on another character sooner or later

im past the 40 hour mark now, done with main quest, the companions, DB, im the thane in a few places, done a lot of dungeons, etc
