i have last years motherships with tyrollia bindings. they weigh almost nothing, not sure about an actual number.

true. just find a hookup and get it pro or shop formed. a guy i work with got it for like 450 or somethin

jps with 912's

combine em with super light spk's (with no spoiler)

and its like your skiin on nothin at all... nothin at all... nothin at all

damn sexy flanders!

deadbolts are made by vist. Vist sucks; they're very inconsistent.

My Chronics, as a pair, weigh just over 4 lbs. without bindings on them. Salomon S9anything are probably the lightest bindings.

The ONLY reason you should be worried about the weight of you skis is for BC if your hicking with them on your back, wich is dumb when they make skins, light bindings are cheap bindings, cheap bindings break.

that's what i was gonna say, they're pretty much the lightest ever..........but you gotta put a lightish binding to make it legit...

Or hiking anywhere outside of the park. The only time weight is really noticable and has an impact is if you're touring, which I'm going to assume isn't very popular here. A couple pounds will make a difference for skiing around the mountain, but that's something you can get used to. But to kind of answer your question, the way to cut down on weight is to get shorter, narrower skis with a light wood or foam core and light bindings like Salomons (or dynafits if you tour and feel secure on them).

ok. please just shut the fuck up. first you say that a pair of skis weighs 6-9 pounds, my old skis weighed like 15 pounds and every combo of skis and bindings weighs a different amount.

then shut the fuck up again because i want light skis cus its easier to do shit with lighter skis that spin easier, not for hiking bc. so you're done now ya?

skis arent that heavy, its the boots. but z12's with thalls/chronics or salomon, jps arent that light, about the same as this years made'ns

No CLOWN, skis WITHOUT bindings weigh 6-9 pounds, And if you need to worry about the weight of your park skis to do tricks, you SHOULD worry about your skiing instead, heavy skis spin faster.... Its called MOMENTUM.

i have silencers and power 120's but the lightest skis are proboably px's and goode skis are rediculously light

I would have to disagree with that, don't heavier skis have more inertia, which makes them resist change of motion more than lighter skis. And and since it it has a higher intertia it takes more force to get it moving/spinning at a faster rate

Here is what i read in another similar thread

lighter skis have a lower swing weight, if doing 360s on the flat ground is your thing this is what you want as it is easy to start spins iwth them

heavier skis with larger swing weight (also largely depends on where the weight is in the ski), will gain more momentum hence will keep your skis spinning right through to the last 180 on your switch 900 etc. but youl struggle to pull 540s out of your ass on moguls etc.

how ever the thing that kind of puts a downer on this is , what if you do a tail grab in this, doesnt that just kind of completely take away the point of havin the momentum as the axis is put off?i just dont really get why the swing weight would affect it if both your skis are behind your back in a grab or up in a nose mute etc.
