Way to cut gas prices

And what would that do? The estimated amount of oil to be gained from drilling there won't supply the United States oil needs for even a year. There is no logic in permenantly destroying any piece of land--regardless of size--in order to make such a small gain. Once again, the money and effort could be put into developing alternative energy sources.

drilling here in AK would not be good for the enviroment and it would impact it more than you think. and it owuld be pointless since they are not exactly sure how much there is up there in the first place and would not produce oil for many years and would not decrease gas prices as much as people would hope. and no body wants a state of angry hippys mad at their country more then they already are.

"angry hippies"... shit u dont wanna to mess with an angry hippie thats for sure!

The world is going to run out of oil eventually. Drilling more may temporarily help the situation but in 100 years we still be might be screwed if we don't develop alternative fuel sources.

I say we resurrect electric cars and nuclear power.

Nuclear power is too fucking expensive right now to outweigh the cost of operating with the benefits.

in 100 years we will find a new type of fuel... a lot happens in 100 years, humanity has learned so much over the last 100 years and we will only keep on learning more and more

Run Nascar on bio-diesel, that would make everyone want to switch. Plus, if you tune a normal engine right, bio-diesel will actually give it more horsepower.

he is right, we entered the 20th century going 40 mph on a train and now we go really fast so the future holds allot.

im pretty sure indy cars run on alcohol and if nascar was cancelled america would probably go into a rescession since about 200 million people watch the races on tv or at the track

they would go up becasue of all the money they lose. but good try.... buy a moped they get 70 miles per gallon

I hope you never own a business because you clearly don't understand the concept of supply and demand.

Hahaha. This is perfect timing. You guys seriously need to come to terms with this or start using your heads a little better.

Today, BP shut down the U.S.'s largest oil field in Alaska, which accounts for about 8% of all U.S. petroleum, due to "severe corrosion" in the pipeline. Crude prices have soared, and you can expect more record highs over the next few weeks.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a solution. But until I hear an idea that isn't complete donkey shit, I'm sticking by my post on the previous page.
