War in the National Anthem

No one is forcing you to live in this country. Rather than trying to change the belief system of the majority of the country, or disregarding a marvelous document that helped this country develop into a superpower relatively quickly, why don't you and the rest of the assholes that believe a god-fearing nation is inherently evil just get the hell out of here?
 
So you're saying that all unreligious people who don't want their government to support a religion should just move out? Just because the majority is christian, doesn't mean we should only cater to them! Some respectful residents of this country don't believe in god, and the government should respect that by not promoting a belief system. how fucking more ignorant could you be?
 
That's not what I'm saying at all, sorry, I wrote that on my phone and I see why it could he interpreted that way. What I AM saying is that those who don't believe the constitution to be a relevant document just because it was written by religious people; those who try to change the fundamental principles upon which this county was established; should either respect the government which has been established here (quit trying to change the country) or GTHO
 
ahh yes now i get it, that's not at all what i was saying haha. maybe i did the same thing as you. i don't think the constitution is bad because it was written by religious people (actually many of the writers were anti-religion). That would be ignorant of me to believe a document is invalid because of the beliefs of its writers. I just hate how we judge things based on whether it's "constitutional" or not. Who gives a fuck. do what is right, not based on the rigid guidelines of a document.

And the US doesnt promote any religion you fucktard, just because it says God on our currency and in some sayings doesn't mean its a promoted religion. Think of the Church of England as being a state promoted religion. Where if you were anything else you were hanged.
 
so I'm supposed to settle, use the word "god" in my songs, and keep quiet about it because hundreds of years ago some people had it off worse? that doesn't sound like America to me.

i wouldnt call it supporting religion, just recognizing it. and being the U.S. shouldn't that be more of a reason for us to say whatever we want in our national anthem/ currency etc..? having strict guidelines for what is ok to say seems pretty un-american to me. Im not religious at all, im actually pretty against religion. but i dont see our currency mentioning god as offensive, forcing religion, promoting religion etc.. at all. even if it did offend me thats 100% my problem for being a complete bitch. i just cant stand liberal P C bullshit like this.

The national anthem was written during war. It is part of our history, get over your ideals and embrace it for the badassery.
