You didn't need to say any of that.  Am I not entitled to state my own opinion?  Maybe they will read this and come up with a new way to look in control, without forcefully doing so.  Either way, they are better than me.

forcing yourself to stand up and have your hands down isn't control. well technically it is, since they're controlling their body, but that's besides the point. it looks more in control when they just ski away the way the landed, not changing positions and acting like a statue.

but hey they slay it, so it's still sick i just think their little vogue deals after landing are a bit absurd sometimes.
 
he's talking about afterbang, not the landing...I don't get it either, these guys land their tricks in a perfectly clean stance, but then shift to a different stance right after that...that's the unnecessary part, and the part that some people think looks silly. I'm not hating, obviously these guys are in control of what they're doing, I just don't understand why it's necessary. I guess it's probably a joke mostly.

I don't even care though, I thought that edit was sick, I'm just explaining.
 
this afterbang convo is the dumbest shit ever. can't wait to see the fruits of the spring park shoots. watching these kids on huge keystone shit, the last thing i will be looking for is if there is too much afterbang and then pissing and moaning about.
 
i thought the ski pole shooting was the coolest shit ever ...i rewatched it like 4 times...but i guess that could be because i've only gotten about 30 minutes of sleep in the past 30 hours.
 
i'm real lost on what the argument is about, the landings are sick, i think i always land like that, i didn't see anyone do anything to peculiar sorry if this is a dumb thing to ask but what exactly is wrong, is it because they twist there body at the end? If so i do that shit all the time on landings

sorry but you're completely wrong. Tom legitly worked on his ride aways this fall...trying to make them absurd (see the november 4bi9 edit i think it is, ridiculous ride away from him in there), hell i always heard him say "WHheeeewwww did you SEEE my ride away??!!!"

i like all of their skiing but it seems like they try too hard to ski away steezily, when they really don't need to at all because the tricks they are doing is absurd and steezy enough without the ridiculous posing.

i hate to contribute to this on going debate that doesn't matter but i feel like i needed to chip in...the edit is sick as hell though! hah.

but do you guys (ie wallisch and brogan) do afterbang as a joke? Or it is it like a weird combination of joking and thinkings it is sick? Or like exagerating it but you think it is sick but you exagerate it cause its funny? Im just curious.

You been here for what? six years? Ever heard of free STYLE? freestyle, free to do what ever you want. You don''t like their style, everyone knows that. What I don't understand, is if you don't like it, why do YOU keep replying and bumping these threads up? Are you sure, that you are not like their best buddies?

I mean, that would be some skillful marketing to have one of their friends keep bumping the threads by creating controversy. You are so smart to figure a away to hype these guys and subsequently Level 1's release next season - Oh you must work for them, thats it.

 
all i know is that this last week at breck, that shit went off. anyone thinking this is wack has no idea. none. that park was in pain after these kids rolled through. this edit doesn't even really show the amount of destruction they delivered at breck. nuke bombs. delorme? afterbang? please. doesnt move a muscle. hes just not trying. none of those kids are.
 
a) I really was just curious if they were doing it seriously or as a joke... I still am, and my post was free from implication I think... Like I am not trying to imply that it must be a joke, I am just sincerely wondering if it is or not.

Also, I have nothing against them doing what they do, go for it. I just express my opinion on it. That doesn't mean they should stop, it means that maybe they will agree and change, or if they dont thats cool too.

also, I have no worries about them getting more hype or bermans movie because I am bumping the thread... it just doesn't concern me really. I am not trying to censor anyone out of skiing. I am just trying to open minds, or point out things that people should realize, in my opinion. I am just trying to enrich the understanding of skiing by adding my own perspective to it.

Also, I never said I don't like their style. I just don't like their afterbang. I think they actually have pretty good style.
 
totally clean landings to me, this isn't the olympics with scored dismounts and landings. It looked hot, and really no one is willing to, or able to take that from them.
