VW owners thread

my mom has a 2012 golf wagon that's automatic and my dad's got an 09 golf wagon thats manual. they're pretty sick cars. diesel too so I rarely have to fill up the tank.

Had a 98 Jetta VR6 for the last 5 years, had to send it to the junker last week :(. Loved the shit out of that car, but got tired of paying the extremely high maintenance bills. swapped out almost everything in the engine a couple years ago dropping way too much money. Ran great for the two years but then it overheated on me a couple weeks ago and long story short I was looking at another 3 grand repair bill at the least. As hard as it was I had to cut my losses. Now im looking around for a Subaru. Will always love the Vee Dubs , but honestly fuck the cost of fixing those german cars.

Got a 2004 gti vr6 and despite what the idiot said in the first page, I fucking love it. Thing pulls from 3500 to forever. Mine only has a homemade RAM intake. And yes I know sucking warm air is fucking stupid but being a college student Im not about to waste 150 bucks on a CAI until Im ready to do other performance mods. Plus honestly an intake on a stock car is only good for a little extra noise. Whatever. Plan on lowering, chipping, maybe camming, and a little more next spring. Just gotta make it through the winter. Will post pics later.

My family owns a Passat, I'm not sure what year but if I had to guess, I'd say 09'. It's a really nice car and it's what I'm going to drive when I turn 16 in a few months.

this, except its grey. v10 tdi 5.0l. its great you are never tuck in snow with this one, the con is that it feels heavy to drive.
