I know it's not till Thursday but I'm already gearing up for one of the best events of the year.

I don't care what your party affiliation but the fact is that Biden is so much more ready for this than Palin. It's going to be a disaster. So who's making popcorn and watching the spectacle with me?

Oh and feel free to start a big political argument here. I know someone will.

 
i think thats debatable, but, im fairly sure palin will have shit her pants by the end of the night, shes smart, but not nearly smart enough to be our vice president.

She received her bachelor's degree in communications-journalism, from the University of Idaho and attended the following schools

  • Hawaii Pacific University (Fall 1982),
  • North Idaho College (Spring 1983 & Fall 1983),
  • University of Idaho (Fall 1984 - Spring 1985),
  • Matanuska-Susitna College (Fall 1985) and
  • University of Idaho (Spring 1986, Fall 1986 and Spring 1987 ).

Secondly, I find it hilarious that you seem to think going to more colleges is a good thing. I assure you it is not. 5 different colleges? That means you fucked up repeatedly and kept bouncing around. She's a bimbo.

Do I think having a degree automatically makes you intelligent? Not necessarily, but I was simply replying to someone who said she didn't go to college at all. Which is a flat out lie.
 
she didn't say that it was a good thing, she just gave facts of where Palin went to college because that other guy said she didn't

I figured this might be accurate, as a way of getting people to donate to the campaign, although I was sure you were exaggerating. So I went to the johnmccain store to check it out, and it turns out his bumper stickers are...wait for it...wait for it....1.00!

Did she in fact flunk her way around the school system, or are we just making assumptions based off of little evidence? And why would her actual degree matter?
 
I'm not implying a particular reason for going to so many different schools but I can't think of a particularly good one. Maybe if the campaign lets her do another interview at some point someone can ask her.

As for the communications thing, I'm just immediately reminded of a Simpsons episode, when Homer runs over the Springfield U kicker's leg and Dr. Hibbert tells him he can't play again.

And yeah, I am stoked for the debate. Biden SHOULD tear her a new asshole, but I doubt it will be as brutal as many are hoping for. Although we can hope.....
 
If someone actually finds that to be important...or relevant. I personally don't put much stock in that sort of thing as academics tend to be "mystified" and given an overinflated sense of importance. I'm somewhat reminded of the 2004 election when Kerry was painted as a great Ivy League intellectual, while Bush was played off as the country bumpkin...even though their transcripts were practically the same.

I am also aware of the Simpsons reference. But again, I don't tend to value people based on their degree choice. Even though I tend to give all the art, English, and soft science majors a fair amount of flack.
 
Yeah I agree, I don't think it will be as bad as seems to be expected. Republicans have been lowering expectations very effectively, it's now common knowledge, apparently, that Palin is going to lose. I further predict, however, that her voice's annoyingness will exceed all expectations, and I'll want to gag her with something by the end of the first question.

What I think is going to happen, is Sarah is going to have probably 5-7 generated responses that she's been told to use. She'll use them to answer every question. Even if asked a question that one of her generated responses doesn't relate to. She'll still use one of them. Then if someone says "you didn't answer the question" and they repeat the question, she'll repeat the same irrelevant answer.

If called out again, she'll do that coy smile that Hillary invented which really just means "fuck!".
 
Unlike many fields, history actually teaches how an economy works, albeit in a less direct fashion.

a) have you heard this woman speak? if anyone other than someone from the mccain administration was the moderator she would get annihilated

b) then dont go. when mccain challenged obama to those town hall style debates he said no, because he knew it was a load of shit since they were gonna be moderated by some evangelical crazy
