WE HAVE PRO MODEL SKIS WITH THEM AND HAVE FOR LIKE 5 YEARS AND AT THIS POINT THE CONSTRUCTION IS SO DAMN GOOD FROM BEING MADE AT ELAN. FUCK ALL YOU LITTLE FAGS FOR THINKING YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE 9 FAM.

You shouls shun 9 Because I got pissed about people blatently denying that I ride for my main sponsor just 'cause my profile wasnt on the website in the off season, and other people saying things like "max and tosh never delivered" when they dont realize that our lack of "delivery" coincides directly with the downturn of the economy. like everyone got dropped by everyone and it is hard to get your name out there without financial backing. any one is a ski movie gets there because some rediculous amount was payed to the film maker by a sponsor of the athlete. what kids on ns dont realize is that it isnt about how much you deliver for a company but how much a company delivers for you. NINTHWARD SKIS ARE THE BEST SKIS IN THE INDUSRTRY CAUSE THEY LAST LONG, HAVE GOOD CAMBER FROM TIP TO TAIL AND THE ILLEST GRAPHICS OUT.

stoke for c-van but i think i would rather see him on 9's. ninthward is sick and there newer product is sooo well made.
 
9thwards are THE shit. the new skis ARE bomb. if you have a problem with how 9 portrays themselves then don't ski them because you can't handle the realness!!!!
 
Additionally, CVan has sold out by the sounds of things. His lack of communication with 9, having a pro model coming out, and up and bailing like he did... what else could drive actions like that other than $$$? Corey seemed better than that, but people are free to do what they do. Still lost a lot of respect in my book.
 
honestly thats whack. Faction is whack, regardless of 9 and what they are doing.

But 9 IS dope. It's been a little mismanaged in the past, and the quality is wayyyyy improved from what I have seen.

Im curious, can you elaborate on what 9 is doing differently with their construction that makes it so great?

5: By the way, did 9 ever repay Erik Seo, Belanger, Cosco, or for that matter, Newschoolers? 9 fucked over all of these guys for thousands of dollars over 5 years, they're lucky that Doug was kind enough to let them back, and if I was them I wouldnt be acting like hot shit quite yet.

They are now through a completely different factory and company then before.

There construction isn't much "different" than any other skis. And no one said that it was, so i am not sure where you got that. It is "different" than it was when they started.

The dude I quoted said they were "really well put together and constructed skis" I was wondering if he could elaborate on why he posted this with solid evidence that this is true.
 
need i remind you that pre 9th he rode for dynastar, a HUGE ski comapany? but NOW he sold out. haha

the size of the company is completely irrelevant. he didn't bail on anyone to get on dynastar. he had a rough patch (two knee surgeries), 9 picked him up, then he bailed on them to go to faction (which i can only presume is for money). that equals a sell out in my eyes.
 
sounds to me like he wanted to stay on dynastar in the first place and got dropped due to his injuries?

all that proves is you might as well get the money while it's good because you don't know when it's going to dry up - at the end of the day being a pro skier is a still a job for better or for worse

none of us know what happened between c-van and 9 unless you're campbell or corey...
 
thats a pretty big assumption/accusation. how about until you know the facts you dont make those assumptions.

I've heard facts. There are two sides to every story and I'll be the first to admit I have only heard one. Regardless I am entitled to my opinion and I have expressed it. You can keep hating on 9 because they're not "upstanding". Many more fingers can be pointed to people not being "upstanding". But whatever I am over it. Maybe corey will clear it up. Until then you know where an internet fight goes and what happens even if you win.... you're still retarded.

1. Ben, you continue to suck.

2. In terms of construction, 9 isn't extremely unique but there are a few parts of the ski which prove to be higher quality than others. Since moving to the Elan shop, both the edges and topsheets have improved dramatically. Shane and Campbell decided to press their skis with 2.5mm edges (thickest and most durable on the market) and higher quality topsheet materials, all against the recommendations of the elan employees who were concerned about the higher manufacturing costs. On top of those 2 features, the overall weight is extremely light and the wood core provides for the best flex i've ever ridden.
