What researched facts? Every article I've read about the "negative effects of energy drinks" only outlines the negative effects of caffeine...which would apply to coffee as well...or sugar...and there are plenty of sugar free energy drinks. The only thing I've seen that is attributed only to energy drinks, specifically, is possibly consuming too much vitamin b3.
So yes, I did mean to post this in the "opinion" thread, as it seems to be most peoples "opinion" that energy drinks are bad for you, and not something they've determined based on research or fact.
I see my coworkers down venti iced Americanos and then say to me "omg. I don't drink those-- those are horrible for you!" (pointing at my energy drink)-- they say "I couldn't drink one of those...I feel like my heart will explode from all the caffeine" while they simultaneously drink 3x the amount of caffeine in their Americanos. So yeah...opinion.
