i look at cooking as a life skill that everyone should put in the effort to gain some sort of understanding of. i just can't stand seeing all the prepackaged, over processed, full of preservatives garbage that people spend exorbitant amounts of money on. it's cheaper, healthier, and almost always tastes better when you do it yourself from scratch. i used to suck at cooking, not saying i'm going to win a james beard award or anything but i do know my way around a kitchen. mind you a lot of people probably have unfavorable opinions of people like me. just being honest, this is the unpopular opinions thread, right?

yup, i'll take homemade over frozen any day. i hate it when restaurants serve frozen food, its so pointless. its so much cheaper if you dont buy frozen food

fresh food is so much more expensive than frozen. not even comparable. what are you guys smoking?

Some people get raped or aren't ready or straight shouldn't have kids.

So you should have the option, but dont think "well it's just a speck it's not really a babie. "

But if your cool with it I dont really see the problem.

Not sure that makes sense but there you go

Obey and the people that wear it are hypocrites.

TOMS make me mad. I realize they're helping people by giving them shoes, but they could do so much more to improve those communities with the profit they make off of what they're selling.

South park always deals with bigger issues and has them layered in. Family guy is more random for the sake of random. Not saying family guy isn't a great show, but south park is fucking brilliant sometimes.

/trip post

And to the kid that said he didn't like mumford or imagine dragons I agree

The american government has a file of every single one of us, they know where we are, what we buy, how much money we have, what we do for a living, they know everything. Also, their main goal is to continue to gain more and more power, and suppress us into a world of helplessness and fear, so we "need" them, and therefore keep them in power.

Tom Wallisch is a film skier by origin. He should stick to not filming with everyone and their mother. 4bi9 and Level 1 for life.

ummm...every frozen vegetable vs. fresh vegetable, every frozen fruit vs. fresh fruit, frozen chicken breast vs. fresh chicken breast, frozen hamburger vs. fresh hamburger, frozen seafood vs. fresh seafood...

I mean-- please explain what you are talking about.

Agreed.

People need to become educated on the backgrounds of the religious texts so they do not make ingnorant comments and stereotypes about what they "think it says".

Religion should be abolished and NO part of it should be taught in school, except maybe the fact that it existed in history books.

Macklemore sucks. I hate steak, marshmallows, hot chocolate, oranges, roast beef. Margaret Atwood is a shitty fucking author.

you may be right in some cases, but not in every case as you saidexamples:

betty crocker instant potatoes (4 servings), 12 oz. 2.79

fresh potatoes (8 servings), 5lbs. 2.99

fresh boneless skinless breast of chicken 1.89/lb.

tyson frozen boneless skinless breast of chicken 2.5lb. bag 6.99

you can do the math and see for yourself. those are actual current prices at my local supermarket. i'm a homesteader, 90% of my diet i produce myself. owning a farm makes that a lot easier than the average person to eat fresh and healthy; but the average consumer can do a lot to eat fresh food cost effectively. eat seasonally. example, it's winter- that means fall crops are freshest most plentiful and therefore more affordable. guarantee if you want a rack of lamb and asparagus in december it could be almost double what it would cost you in april- when it's in season. also, buying local (and in bulk) as cliche as it may sound is often a lot smarter bet than hitting up your local chain supermarket weekly, where most things were harvested well over a week ago.... sometimes closer to a month! when i was an undergrad i didn't even have space for a garden but i would go to the closest farm and buy 50lbs. of fresh farm grown potatoes for 30$ and that would be enough to get me and my 3 roomates through the entire school year. delicious, fresh, cheap, and not covered in pesticides. seems like a no brainer. not saying that's the case for all foods but if you care about your body and the environment enough there is a lot you can do to get away from processed foods.

Of all the opinions in this thread, this is the only one that has actually made me mad. Congratulations, you win this thread.

I think these are pretty popular considering abortion is constantly fought and most US citizens claim to belong to some form of organized religion
