I have three pairs of park skis to abuse now so I can use other ones that are already clapped for trying new/big tricks or just if I was hiking rails. I feel like skiing doesn’t have a lot of “cool” icons. Like, there are a lot of homies, but I feel like there’s maybe one or two crews that are actually cool. The rest are kinda corny and goofy. It’s not exactly a problem but just something I was thinking about

Idk, I feel like there a lot more good crews out there. Forre, zootspace, the bunch, the harlaut apparel guys? (they lean a bit on the corny side), the big group of european dudes that Matej and Bacher film with, Magma.

I can see where you’re coming from, as we don’t have the same level of crews as back in the day. Level1, 4bi9, Stept, Hoodcrew, Clownschool, all very iconic and popular. I think the problem is that film skiing isn’t as profitable as it used to be, so it’s way harder for crews to stay relevant and pump out content.

Lens distortion (ie fisheye) sucks unless it's really close to the feature. Most of the time all it does is lose details in the shot

I’ve really been noticing how whack our shit looks outside of our little park skier ecosystem lately. Idk maybe it’s an age thing and not caring anymore but man do people get way too caught up in it all.

I agree w this, if your even a little far it exaggerates it a ton, filmed my friends a bunch this weekend and i was like maybe a foot from the feature. whereas my other friend was like 5-6 feet from the rail and it looks like 15-20 on the fisheye.

I started snowboarding this season and I gotta say when you take skiing and boarding out of their bubbles, freestyle snowboarding people are usually cooler

might be the lack of children but I had a better time riding with boarding randoms than skiers

Using a song on an Instagram clip that is just one shot is annoying. Really unless it's at least 5 shots a song is annoying. If you want to use music make a fuckin edit.
