I agree that people's opinions shouldn't be invalidated because of their ski ability, but it is incredibly lame to talk shit about the ability of someone on this forum while having zero footage on your profile.

I think fisheye can be tasteful but not every single shot, think a variety of focal lengths and lens types are essential in making the most watchable edits possible

Was loading the chair on Saturday, its around 3pm or so, crowds have thinned out and it's an empty liftline, so as a solo skier mostly on my own freetime it fuckin annoys the shit out of me when someone sees a solo rider loading on a quiet day or the end of the day and just HAS to load up. It's nice to bullshit with random skiers but some of us just want a solo ride up and don't want to hear about how long you've lived here for or how you just moved here. Fuck off. Let us lonely skiers be weirdos for a second

Straight backslides are one of the ugliest tricks/trends in skiing. Spin in and/or spin out, okay. But if you backslide a downrail you look like you're a dog pissing in the yard.

Does a backslide take skill? Yeah kinda. 90% of them are ugly as hell tho. Just a trendy lil trick. Does anyone freak out over a tail press on a snowboard or a 5-0 on a skateboard? Nah, it's a really basic trick. Show me a fastslide with a back 2 and I'll give it respect
 
Comp skiers are sick and competition skiing is super dope, I love X games. I think it’s dope that they made knuckle huck a real event and started inviting community figures who aren’t comp skiers but deserve a shot at the limelight.

I don’t know if this is unpopular but ppl will be like “comp skiing is boring” but if x games made a stop at your hill I bet my life you and the homies are attending.

I love comp skiing too. The consistency needed to complete a slope run is insane and anyone that can link a bunch of dubs in the pipe is inhuman. Certain years there isn’t much variety in runs but there are almost always some cool surprises.

I’m not saying it’s a golden rule but I gotta defend this person some because I’ve been skiing park since probably 2004 back when you’d see maybe 2 skiers in the park, if that. I lost the password to my old account when my Mac’s motherboard had water damage and I had been lurking in and out before that.

So some of these kids are annoying but some are legit. I didn’t pay too much attention to NS when I was younger so I can’t blame them
